Either way, paid for those crappy units, happy that they came as intended (Because they are the Leo's from that series) Now, to make your life a living hell, because I hate you so much (How delightful), I'm leaving for statting one of my contest entries. --- Lost Seraph: Aeon of Strife Alone... I feel so lonely, drifting on this infinite prison of eldritch perception, surrounded by an inpenetrable cage of antimatter, a destructive ooze bleeding from the core of this enclosed space... It's been a long time since I fell into the clutches of this bleak, dark dimension, place where everything can happen, where everyone can be god, and where everytime one lives... and dies. All at the same time, all in the same place, all-in.one, one-in-all... Once, I was a normal human just like you and the rest: Prideful, greedy, in search of more power than one could ever achieve. This place was known since a long time, a black zone where nobody dared to get close, and all sentient life in the universe avoided. Poor fools, they were cowards, they didn't have what it taked to be a brave pilot or, as they call my kind now, an Angel Runner. Yes, I was a pilot of those machines known as Seraphs once. but now, after an eternity of time and no-time in this... "void", my mind, my body and my spirit became that of the very same machine I piloted. i don't know if that was because of an inner secret desire even I didn't know about, or due to the distortions on this weird, brave new world. At first, I hated this horrible transformation I suffered. At first, it was like that, always trying to end my life in every imaginable possible way, without being able to do so, due to the curse of immortality this place grants to whoever gets into it. Then, after of what seemed to be aeons, I came to better understand the implications and the benefits of such a transformation. I came to know every concept, every event, every variation in the dimensional flux of the universe. In short, I became the living library that stored all the knowledge in the universe. Past, present, future... nothing was beyond my grasp. And so, as the living embodiment of Knowledge, it was necessary for me to gain a new name, so they, the small beings known as "humankind" would be able to reference when speaking with me, their new god. Yes, my name is Sophia, the Knowledge incarnate. And I hold the knowledge of everything... That knowledge, of times of a great war, of a millenia-long conflict between to zealous fanatical groups, who fought for total dominance of the known universe. They were apart by hundreds of light-years of distance, but they were part of the same origin, both sharing the same forefathers. And after so long, that war was over, but quickly as the flames of hell, a new conflict arose. These were now times of great acts of heroism, of shows of the blackest evil and terrible deeds. A fight for freedom, for power, for a new destiny and the control of an untold power. Times of advance, of dark secrets and love. And, in the middle of all that, one lone woman stood there, waging a one-man war against the corruption that costed the life of her fiancee, an event she did not know about, but suspected as he didn't come back from the front-lines. With the help of a mysterious Seraph, she was willing to take on the world, just to know the ill fate of the man she loved so dearly. But by uncovering that truth would have unprecedent repercutions in the entire civilization, with the revelation of the lost past and the mystery behind the unknown origins of the machines used by humankind to stage their advance. The Akasha, the Root of the beings known as Seraphs, for I have travelled in time and evolved beyond the norm, beyond what a human is capable of being, and became into a being one step closer to God. Yes, the Seraph, those machines... they are alive... they are organic... they feel... and they beseech me to punish their suffering at the hands of humankind. --- Lexicon of terms, history and unrelated stuff --- Brandisher Type-ZERO Background: Unit B00-ASK-4865 of the "Brandisher Project", created by Askalion in cooperation with the Space Military Corps as a way to build a next-generation all-purpose Seraph, that could be used either for civilian tasks or military operations. Several secrets exist behind the development of the Brandisher series, especially when it comes to their high-profile AIs, each with different personality traits and all of them having the same ability to manipulate the Seraph's frame with an universal tuning process, which grants any Angel Runner the ability to pilot the Brandisher. Still, the Brandisher Type-ZERO was the first of its kind, with its building process ending the 2/7/0004 AW, so no other unit posses the capabilities the Brandisher Type-ZERO has. While it can perform very well on civilian tasks, the Brandisher Type-ZERO was specifically built to be used as a fighter unit, and so it was outfitted with top-class military equipment, such as tachyon-using technologies as the versatile Tachyon Engine and weapon systems that make use of harmonic resonance to efficiently destroy an opponent. Also, it's light and slender frame makes it able to perform nimble and fluid movements, helping with the task to avoid any kind of damage with the use of a tachyon booster on its back, which grants to the Brandisher Type-ZERO a sub-light propulsion speed. Two days after it was built, the unit (Still unmanned) activated itself and escaped from the "Varan Dou" Orbital Base, after destroying the entire Askalion's R&D sector. It's path: the planet Kenuo, where a person by the name of Tessa Lancaster was living. After landing on her backyard, and with the Space Military Corps on its track, the Brandisher's AI called the girl, ordering her to jump into the cockpit or she would die on the skirmish that would ensue there. The demise of the Brandisher Type-ZERO would come after two months of struggle when, during an hyperspace battle against the whole Brandisher Series that was still under the control of Askalion, it was shot down with its pilot Tessa over the Ruins of Eldoran. At that time, it was recovered by the Forgotten, a group of rebels fighting against Askalion, and rebuilt as the Brandisher Type-NEO. (Welcome the main unit, with a stupid name as the norm dictates in my case. Leaving aside my inability to come up with properly good names, it's time to describe what the hell this thing can do. First, and similar to all Seraphs, the Brandisher can hover when not in combat mode. Second, the unit has an emphasis on speed and attack power, with a great lack of resilience. Stat-wise, this thing has a proper reactor that grants it really high EN, at the cost of lacking in the HP side. It's Agi, compared to other things, is godly awesome, due to that "moving at higher-than-light speed". It has crazy but powerful weapons that consume somewhat high amounts of EN, due to being ANOTHER super-prototype, and has many weird added stuff that can act weird and confuse the enemy. Overall, you will agree with me that this unit is crap and deserves to be made scrap metal, but I was happy when I did it, I don't know why so don't ask me.) Technical Data: -Type: Seraph -Height: 15.7 meters -Weight: 5.1 metric tons -Pilot: Tessa Lancaster -Pilot Accomodation: Full-view cockpit on chest area, over engine. -Developer: Universal Arms Manufacturing Company Askalion -Propulsion: Tachyon Boosters. Back-Mounted. -Powerplant: Tachyon Engine, on chest area. Weapons: -Shock Cannons: A pair of wrist-mounted energy cannons, which fire a stream of electric-charged particles at high speeds towards an enemy. These streams are, due to their electric nature, capable of paralyzing an enemy on contact. (Paralyzing the enemy to kick its ass is a common trait for me, dunno why. Maybe I like electricity.) -Missile Pods: On the Brandisher's shoulders, a set of eight-tubed missile launchers were installed, loaded with 32 warheads each. These missiles lack a guiding system, which makes them travel on a linear pattern. (Imagine the Aestivalis missiles.) -High-Frequency Claws: The retractable claws of the Brandisher Type-ZERO are capable of resonating at incredible speeds, allowing them to cut through most materials with ease. (Weak, but with added Armor Penetration goodness, yay!) -Harmonic Gunblade [Gun]: A combination between a metallic sword and a gun, which makes use of the harmonic resonance process to fire an armor piercing bullet at high speeds. Despite the outlandish feel it gives, the process used is quite simple, as the harmonic resonance detonates the propellant, which pushes the bullet out of the barrel. -Harmonic Gunblade [Melee]: The secondary mode of the Harmonic Gunblade, in which the Gunblade is used as a cutting melee weapon. The very same harmonic resonance that is used to fire the "gun mode" is also used to power the blade, granting to it an incredible cutting edge that basically disrupts the molecular makeshift of the intended target. This could be translated in that the gunblade has the ability to cut through literally every single material in the whole universe, except those that are naturally resistant to harmonic resonance. (Hyper-cutter sword with high damage power) -Motion Spur Cannon: The backbone weapon of the Brandisher Type-ZERO, consisting on powering a wave cannon with several consecutive harmonic resonances, which are used to fire a powerful sonic blast shaped as a beam. The Motion Spur Cannon is, nonetheless, a double-edged weapon, as while the multiple harmonic resonances grant it a great power, it also destroys the weapon's barrel, limiting its use at three consecutive attacks before needing maintenance. (Beam-tastic BFG and final attack) Systems: -Nikolai: The AI of the Brandisher Type-ZERO and, later, the Neo Brandisher. Nikolai (The name imposed to it by Tessa, because it reminds her of her deceased boyfriend Nikolai Morgan) is a neural AI programmed with highly advanced routines, similar to those possesed by a human brain. This turns Nikolai into a highly adaptive AI, capable of adjusting the Brandisher to its curent pilot all by itself, which is the reason it's so pursued by the Askalion secret forces and the Space Military Corps. The military searches for it due to its unique ability to tune with any Angel Runner, while the motives for which Askalion searches for Nikolai and the Brandisher are more obscure, relating to the origins of the Brandisher Program. (Run-of-the-mill AI, with Accuraccy-boosting and enemy-investigation Spirit Commands.) -Tachyon Jump: By generating an hyperspace bubble completely made of tachyon particles, the Brandisher can move at speeds higher than those of light, allowing for travels to distant places in a short time. This is mainly used as a defensive system, to evade incoming attacks by teleporting to a different location instantly. (Normal Teleport, nothing more than that) -Tachyon Field: A barrier field made entirely of tachyon particles, which accelerate any kind of attacks past the Brandisher, without causing damage to the unit. The amount of damage negated this way is theoretically infinite, only limited by the amount of energy the Brandisher can use on the Tachyon Field. (Unbreakable medium-to-strong barrier that has a high EN cost per use. It's unbreakable because it doesn't "block" the attack per se. It actually accelerates it to a higher-than-light speed, making it harmless.) -Tachyon Absorber Over-System: A failproof system used to ensure that the Brandisher doesn't tun out of energy. The Tachyon Absorber Over-System is automatically activated each time the Brandisher makes a Tachyon Jump, in order to absorb the free-floating tachyon particles to replenish the Tachyon Engine and boosting the damage capabilities of all the unit's weapons. While this technology isn't unheard of, it's the first time it was applicated on a small-size unit (Smaller than a battleship, of course). (Complete EN refill after using the Tachyon Jump.)

  4. @Akita: You just did what you could. While I actually intended them to be stronger (I imagined them on, let's say, RX-78 Gundam levels of performance), but still they are good enough. About the power supply, it's as intended: These units weren't designed to use energy-consuming weapons, as the technology level is still low enough to actually make them plausible. Besides, the energy is just used to operate the Extend Walker and its secondary systems. Either way, this is more like cyberpunk xD. @OCD: I will try to be as nice as possible and I will be sorry if a few insults appear here, as I'm fucking angry at what you said. You may know more than me about real life weapons and military stuff and I concede you that I didn't really know (And didn't care about researching) that the AK-47 and the M16 had different operation principles. But while I do accept that, that doesn't mean that the rest of the things mentioned there are based on real-life stuff. I will ask you this: Have you actually bothered to ask ME (As the one who thought all this) if this was based on real world things? I can answer for you. And the answer is HELL NO, YOU DIDN'T! You may be a moderator here, you can be God for all that I care, but that doesn't mean I will accept shit from someone who didn't care about knowing what was I thinking. By the way, I tell you, if you're now curious, that this doesn't follow the real world technology (The most prominent example is the ammo type used). Re-reading all the constructive critiques (The "rule of three" -Sorry OCD- and the drill sergeant-like angry ranting weren't really considered critiques) can get really boring, mind you. You have no idea how I LOL'd when I was reading it. Anyways, now to get down to the bussiness... -------- Background: "War happens. It just... begins with no warning." That's what I was told once, when I was a small child, after asking my father about why should people fight each other. Be it for riches, for land, for resources, for honor, for an ideal, for revenge... There are many reasons why that could happen, some more egotistical than others, some being a noble reason to wage war against a neighbor. But it never changes, no matter how much time passed since the first fight between rival groups, since the times of cavemen. And so, one day I thought: "War has only one victor: Death". Maybe that's why I wanted to start this, because the concept of war and violence is a part of our nature as human beings. Ryu-Kashi. No one knows why these series of wars started. Neither do they know when all this fighting began, if it was a thing of days, months or years. It could have actually being a matter of hours, since the moment when the leader of a country decided to invade a neighboring country, reasons unknown, wishing to overwhelm the "enemy" that once was a friend with the weight of a military force. Either way, nobody cared about the reasons or the time. People just wanted to jump into the conflict, to enact "divine" retribution upon the "mortal enemy, the one who should be erased from the planet's surface". I, Sebastian Cruz, was a small boy when the first large-scale battle in Argentina started. I was at that time 13 years old. My parents were adherents of a pacifist movement, who wanted to end the conflicts that started to arise around the world, in different countries at the same time, until the day when War knocked on Argentina's doors, invading the cities with an army led by a man who was just following orders, whose job was being a glorified killer camouflaged under the pretense of being a "hero of his country's justice and ideals". I know that my country wasn't the nicest one in the world, and that it commited it's share of crimes, but the idea of being invaded by a country of those considered "brothers" was something that blew my head off, metaphorically. It was a matter of hours. The city were I live, near the country's capital city, was leveled to the ground by the combined efforts of the invading army and the defending forces of my country. I, among many others, survived the destruction, the apocalypse. But, as a matter of chance, my parents died. That was the last straw, and so, I pledged my life to whoever wanted it, just for the chance of getting my revenge on those who stomped on my life without regards of how would I feel about that. It was the year 2010, and I would later know that the worldwide fights and separate wars were grouped and named "The First Great War", that lasted from September of 2010 to April of 2011. Eight months were the necessary time to reduce the world's population by 55%. After that, I was adopted by a friend of my father, a man who was living in Ireland. He explained me that he had once a great debt, and that my father helped him out of that problem, and because of that he felt that the least thing he could do was to raise me, to remember the sacrifices those did to ensure I was alive now. Five years have passed since the end of the war, and now I'm 18 years old. For some reason, my identity was changed, with no explanation of why so. Now, my name is John Walker, the adopted son of Jeremiah Walker. I was enrolled, by my own accord, into the Irish military, as that would be the best way to ensure I could complete my "mission". ---- Name: PAX-001 Legion Type: Extend Walker Dimensions: -Height: 13.2 meters Weight: 7 metric tons Background: The first model of Extend Walker used by the new infantries of the warring world. The "Powered Armor eXpansion" unit 001, codename "Legion" was successfully developed in 2010, during the beginning phase of the First Great War, after the test of countless of models since 2008, all failing due to different issues. This mechanic giant armor is composed of a titanium inner frame, both resistant and with great mobility, covered by a ceramic ablative compound able to withstand great pressure and quite powerful impact forces from a modern-time hollow-pointed bullet. While this armor plating would be actually useful against other infantry units and mechanical artillery batteries from before the beginning of the Great War, the "Legion" squadrons often have to fight against several armored vehicles that are outfitted with high-penetration weaponry. Because of that, the normal humans that once used this armor during its first year of service were quickly replaced with cybernetically-modified soldiers, trained especially for combat against any kind of threat. Still, this Extend Walker is utterly weak and slow against many opponents, and so, a new model was quickly issued for elite-use, the PAX-002 "Centurion". Weapons: -Impulse Gauntlet: The gauntlets on the Legion are reinforced in the knuckle zone with a somewhat thick slab of titanium, with which a pilot is capable of dealing blows with enough strenght to crush a concrete wall with only one attack. Also, due to their resistance, they are normally used to parry melee weapons without risking their structural integrity. -Serrated Chainblade: The main melee weapon of the Legion Extend Walkers, consisting on a sharp sword whose diamond serrated edge is connected to a chain, which spins at high speed, granting to it the ability to cut through many kinds of materials without problem. Also, this spinning serrated edge makes it impossible to be parried more than once, as the weapon used to parry it would be cut due to the chainsaw-like edge. -"Pineapple II" Fragmentation Grenades: A standard-issue, Extend Walker-scaled fragmentation grenade, which has a three-second timer on it. These grenades, after the safety is removed and the timer is activated, are tossed towards a group of enemies, at which time it explodes, dispersing hundreds of titanium nails stored inside it. These nails are capable of piercing through normal armor, killing the enemy and also able to punch a hole through the ceramic plating of an Extend Walker, but still unable to kill the pilot. -"Shrapnel V20" Rapid-fire Rifle: A normal rapid-firing automatic rifle, derived from the designs used for the human-scaled AK-47 and M16-A2 automatic rifles from past eras. This weapon is outfitted with a magazine that holds 30 hollow-point bullets, used for piercing the armor of the enemy old-type tanks that don't have reinforced ablative armors. Besides that, it's a fairly weak weapon, with no other use more than the stalling down of an enemy. -High-powered Hand Cannon: Due ot the lack of a properly strong ranged weapon besides the grenades (which have an horrendous lack of range), those who created the Legion and its derivated Extend Walkers decided to build a heavy weapon that could deal great damage in one attack. At first, it was impossible to come with an original design that would be able to use miniaturized nuclear reactors, which would, after a few shots, enter in meltdown territory. Because of that, they decided to build a weapon that could fire physical projectiles at high speed. And so, the Hand Cannon was made: Sporting ten High-Explosive, Armor piercing rocket-proppeled projectiles with a hollow tip and a depleted uranium charge, the Hand Cannon is a truly sight to be feared. Any successful hit with this weapon is guaranteed to blast a Legion Extend Walker to oblivion due ot the sheer force of the depleted uranium charge, which would detonate almost immediatly after making contact and penetrating the ceramic plating. Specs: -Laser Sight: The unit's head, as a way to help the user with targetting its weapons, comes equipped with a laser emitter, which is used to accurately determine the impact zone of an attack with ranged weapons. This system is quite simple and is mainly used when the targetting computer isn't working, be it because of overuse or because of a jamming signal. -Targetting Computer: The main feature of the Legion's cockpit is a quite powerful computer, that provides assistance to the pilot by helping it to target the enemies. The targetting computer is more useful than the standard-issued laser sight that also comes with the Extend Walker, but it is unprotected against electromagnetic pulses and jamming signals. ---- Name: PAX-002 "Centurion" Type: Extend Walker Dimensions: -Height: 12.9 meters Weight: 6.8 metric tons Background: The second Extend Walker model based on the original design of the PAX-001 Legion and constructed to work around the flaws that the Legion had, namely its ability to fight against stronger opponents and its abysmal speed. The PAX-002 Centurion was first rolled out during the winter of 2011, in the middle of the so-called "Operation Fimbulvetr" in Norway, just near the end phase of the First Great War. This time, the Centurion Extend Walkers were piloted by second generation machine-enhanced super-soldiers, trained especifically to pilot the unit and make use of its full capacity without problem. At first, the Centurion was considered an elite-only mecha, as there were only a reduced number of them in existance, as an experimental field test to assess its limitations. When the test was deemed a success, the Centurion was rapidly mass-produced, together with the second generation super-soldiers, as the method used for the conversion of conventional soldiers into super-soldiers was perfected. Regarding its specs and equipment, the Centurion is not much of a redesign, but more like a change in the weaponry it carries, adding new equipment to boost its performance. The new armor is more compact, and the titanium inner frame on the joints was replaced with an elastic composite polymer that increase the mobility on the unit's joints without compromising its defensive abilities. Also, to further boost its moving speed, the Centurion has a back-mounted booster pack, which has the strenght to propel the armor several meters into the air, allowing for high-distance leaps. Weapons: -Impulse Gauntlet: Same as the PAX-001 Legion -Serrated Chainblade: Same as the PAX-001 Legion -"Shockblast IV" Portable Detonators: Instead of using the normal grenades issued to the Legion series, the Centurion was equipped with two detonators with an infrared proximity detector. These detonators can be attached to a nearby wall and used as traps against unsuspecting enemies. Also, their explosive power and range was increased, as the explosive charge is made of a dynamite-similar compound, far better than the one used on the "Pineapple II" grenades. These bullets were based on the heavy explosive ammunition of the High-powered Hand Cannon, and is used in exact the same way, combining the great power of the explosive bullets with the deadly accuraccy of the rapid-fire rifle. -High-powered Hand Cannon II: As the original High-powered Hand Cannon was a successful weapon, it wasn't required to completely create a new version of it, only to correct the slight issue of its lack of ammo. In that case, the ammo chamber on it was enlarged, now holding 15 projectiles and the barrel was enlarged, boosting the Hand Cannon's already almighty power. Specs: -System Carry-over: As there isn't actually too much difference between the technological level of the PAX-001 Legion and the PAX-002 Centurion, many of the systems on the former could be carried over to the latter, such as the head-mounted laser sight and the on-board targetting computer. Regarding it, the targetting computer was upgraded, increasing its processing speed and, thus, receiving a slight increase in its targetting abilities. -High-Power Jet-Boosters: A new addition to the new Extend Walker, in order to solve the lack of speed that plagued the Legion series since the beginning. A two-muzzled booster backpack was grafted to its back that use 8 small fuel cells stored inside it, which is used to increase the movement speed of the Centurion armors and allowing the pilot to pass over some of the terrain by making a high leap. Obviously, when the fuel cells run out, the Centurion is unable to use the jet-backpack, and it should return to base to replenish it. -Plate Shield: As a way to further increase the defensive power of the Centurion, a small shield was installed on one of its arms, made of the same ceramic ablative compound that makes up the external layer of the armor. This shield is capable, due to the material, to resist great deals of punishment from virtually any kind of weapon, increasing the survival rate of the pilot.

Name: PAX-003 Praetorian Type: Extend Walker Dimensions: -Height: 12.5 meters Weight: 5.5 metric tons Background: With the rise in the level of technology developed for the Extend Walkers since the first two generations being considered somewhat close to a total success, the production of the Third Generation units was already in motion in several parts of the world. The ideas were, by now, centered in the few issues that still remained as "unsolvable". Namely, those issues were the lack of a proper power core on the units and the lack of tridimensional mobility on the units. Luckily, it was possible to make viable the construction of a new powersource for the new Extend Walkers, but the lack of aerial capabilities would prove be something that would remain as a problem for the time being. The Praetorian is, by definition, the first Third Generation Extend Walker produced and, by all means, the first one developed after the end of the First Great War. Because of that, it wasn't intended for it to be a combat unit, as it was more oriented -due to the technologies present on it- for command duties and tactical warfare. Physically, it makes use of a refined version of the elastic composite joints introduced on the PAX-002 Centurion, combined with low-weight movable plates covering most of the unit's body. This greatly reduces the mech's weight, increasing the movement speed by doing so. Also, as its duties require so, the Praetorian has equipment fitted for the task of controlling the flow of battle from a safe position, but with the means to protect itself in case its found by the enemy forces. As such, the Praetorian is considered as a high-ranking unit and as the model for the new generation Extend Walkers. Weapons: -Striker Gauntlet: A new advance in infighting technologies, derived from the Impulse Gauntlets. The Striker Gauntlets are a pair of movable plates with spikes on them, made of reinforced titanium, installed on the back of the Extend Walker's forearms, which can be used to cover the hands of the mech. These gauntlets, besides boasting a high resistance to damage can also dish a good punch, thanks to their spikes. -High Penetration Revolver: Due to the costs involved with the construction and manufacturing of the High-Powered hand cannons and their unique ammunition, it was decided that it would be better for the Extend Walkers since the third generation to carry a standard-issue revolver with armor piercing bullets filled with a high-reactive chemical compound that would detonate on impact. Because of this, the power of this weapon pales in comparison with that of the original High-Powered hand cannon. -Serrated Chainblade: A mainstay weapon since the beginning of the Extend Walker's development. The Serrated Chainblade mantains the same functionality as before, when compared to those used by the Legion and Centurion. But, while they workings are the same, the general aspect was modified, now having a sleeker look. -Railcannon: While the issue of the lack of a viable compact powerplant on the Extend Walkers was solved, the energy generated by it was still sub-par by the standards needed to power a miniaturized energy weapon. Because of it, the newly-designed shoulder-mounted Railcannon (A cannon that fires a small metallic dart by making use of an electrical repulsion process) makes use of a cartridge system that feeds energy to the weapon directly, without being connected to the main powerplant. But, as the weapon requires a high amount of energy to operate, it can only be used a few times before it becomes dead weight. -Tactical Barrage: The "finisher" weapon of the Praetorian which, ironically, doesn't involve it into directly attacking the enemy. By using a special marker sign over an enemy or an area, the Praetorian can order a squadron of bombers or a group of Extend Walkers (Depending on hte situation) to do a carpet-bomb. Normally, this kind of attack is used as a way to geratly debilitate the enemy forces or as a last-option measure. Specs: -Reinforced Plating: As a way to increase the normal mobility performance of the Extend Walker, several improvements were made to the armor plating that covers the main frame of the unit. By using a new composite material derived from the ceramic armor of the first and second generation. This new armor plating, combined with a new, hollow inner skeleton made of reinforced carbon fiber, increases the Extend Walker's defense, also experiencing a loss of total weight, that increasing the unit's speed. -Improved Jetpack: An evolution of the jet-boosters used on the PAX-002 Centurion, built to provide a better mobility to the normally slow Extend Walkers. The new Jetpack, while retaining its normal function that is shared with the previous model, was improved as the old energy cells-powered gas turbine engines are now replaced with turbojets directly connected to the main unit's reactor, removing the dependance of the unit on the cells, as they had a very short lifespan. -Enhanced Sensors: The main gimmick of the Praetorian, that helps it in its job as a data-relying and a high-mobility combat operation center. The majority of these sensors are related to data-gathering and analisys of enemy units and terrain, as this information will be later passed on the main force during a battle, so as to gain strategical and tactical advantage over the enemy. -Anti-Radar Camouflage: In order to further ensure the pilot's safety, the Praetorian's outer shell is covered with a thin layer of a non-metallic composite material, which is used solely to absorb the waves generated by radar systems. This renders the Praetorian invisible to conventional detection systems, up to a range of 100 meters from the wave's origin point. Closer than that nullifies the effect of the shell. While it prevents detection by radar, the unit can still be seen by the naked eye, as it's not an optical camouflage measure. --- Name: PAX-001P Legion (Powered) Type: Extend Walker Dimensions: -Height: 12.5 meters Weight: 5.7 metric tons Background: After the successful test of the PAX-003 Praetorian and its new technological jump, a new project began in earnest, with the intent to recycle the old mechanical forces each country held. That, not only was to fill the technological imbalance that started to appear since the Praetorian's appearance, but also to change the old standard with the newer Third Generation equipment. This process began in September of 2011 and lasted roughly for one year, in which the Legion and Centurion Extend Walkers were retrofitted and improved with the Praetorian's advanced mainframe. The new Legion makes use of a variation of the Praetorian's body, modified to be used as a front-line unit. Having that in mind, the unit was removed of all the exclusive Praetorian's equipment that helped with the information-gathering process, as all of it would be sent by the command unit in charge. Due to that, the unit is more centered in combat maneuvers, something which is shown by the weapons it carry. While this slightly increase the weight of the unit when compared to the Praetorian, it still remains a nimble Extend Walker, able to pull off outstanding feats of agility. While heavier, the added weight increase the damage done with it and also add more stability, as the unit is required to use both hands while wielding it. -Rapid Cannon [HE]: While the High Penetration Revolver was made with the thought of being used as a replacement for the High-Powered Hand Cannon, the Legion would be fitted with a newer and stronger cannon, which makes use of a high-explosive payload to destroy groups of enemies at a fast rate. The "Rapid Cannon", as it was known during its designing process, would later become the template for future models and the root of the derivated "Assault Cannon" carried by the renewed Centurion units. Specs: -Reinforced Plating: Same as PAX-003 Praetorian. -Improved Jetpack: Same as PAX-003 Praetorian. -Riot Shield: The Legion were at first built with the intent of being used as "foot soldiers" during a war, but since the end of the First Great War, their use was relegated to that of acting as a police force and a counter-terrorist unit. This, considering the lack of protection the units have during that kind of work, made necessary the construction of a detachable protection layer. Thus, the Riot Shield was made. This shield is comprised by a thin titanium layer covered in the same composite plating used for the unit's armor. This, by turn, turns the shield into a durable but light protection that doesn't restrict the unit's movement. --- Name: PAX-002P Centurion (Powered) Type: Extend Walker Dimensions: -Height: 12.5 meters Weight: 6.3 metric tons Background: As a follow-up of what was done with the Legion Extend Walkers, the Centurion units were also recycled with the new standard set by the PAX-003 Praetorian. In this case, the number of units refurbished by the countries was really small, as the plans for the empowered Centurion were to be used as a special unit that has to carry specialized missions. As such, the body frame used is a slight variation of the ones shown by the Praetorian and the new Legion Extend Walkers, slightly reducing the speed of the unit, but increasing the defensive capabilities it has. Regarding the weaponry and the equipment, the new Centurion unit is outfitted with a mix of tactical and universal weapons, fitting with its theme as an all-around unit with no weaknesses during combat. Also, new variations of technological advances shown on the Praetorian are tested on this unit, marking it as the true first user of energy-powered weapons, with the advent of the portable Railgun. Still, the technological gap that distances this unit from those that come later can be a crippling factor when dealing with newer Extend Walkers. Even so, the renewed Centurion units remained in active service as commandos for several years. These "bombs" have a core filled to the brim with High-Powered miniature explosives, and covered with a layer of armor piercing ceramic nails. Granted, if one of these detonators is attached to an Extend Walker, the results can be catastrophical. -Assault Cannon [Rapid]: The main weapon of the Centurion is the Assault Cannon. As the name suggests, this weapon is a multimode hand-held cannon that can be used in any kind of situation that requires a fight against an armed force. The Assault Cannon is the, now real, fabled "second version" of the High-Powered Hand Cannon, and as such, the reason to why the old weapon was retired from the Extend Walkers's weaponry. This cannon has two modes, and is the final model of the "Cerberus Project", that aimed for the development of a weapon with the capability to be versatile in most scenarios. The "Rapid Mode", as the name suggests, is a short-to-medium range assault weapon used to pin down the enemy forces, by firing a high amount of armor-piercing bullets at an enemy. This mode carries 400 bullets in 10 cartridges of 40 bullets each. -Assault Cannon [High-Powered]: The second mode of the Assault Cannon. In this case, by switching the ammo used, changing the armor piercing bullets with High-Powered cannon shells, the Assault Cannon turns into a long-range demolition gun, used for high-damaging and siege tasks. As the weapon makes use of a two-part system to hold both types of modes, the number of shells carried by this mode is somewhat reduced, being between 8 and 10 shells. If they are used, the Centurion must return to base to resupply. -Railgun: With the Centurion's advent can be really said that energy weaponry appears in the world's military technology. The Railgun is a smaller version of the Railcannon of the Praetorian, which is used for high-damaging attacks against one enemy. While the principle is the same (Using energy to propel a small metallic projectile), the reduced size allows the reactor to power it without any problem, with no loss of power overall. Specs: -Reinforced Plating: Same as PAX-003 Praetorian. -Improved Jetpack: Same as PAX-003 Praetorian. -Heavy Shield: The Centurion's derivated version of the Riot Shield. In order to guard the reduced numbers of Centurion units that exist in the world, it was decided that a stronger version of the shield carried by the new Legion units would be installed on the Extend Walker. The Heavy Shield is, by appearance, a giant slab of metal that covers the whole Extend Walker from frontal damage. This, while reducing the unit's speed, can protect it from any kind of damage, as the thick titanium plating that composes it is quite resistant to solid weaponry. Still, if by any chance the shield is rendered unusable, it can be detached to boost the unit's mobility.

The PAX-002 Centurion was first rolled out during the winter of 2011, in the middle of the so-called "Operation Fimbulvetr" in Norway, just near the end phase of the First Great War. This time, the Centurion Extend Walkers were piloted by second generation machine-enhanced super-soldiers, trained especifically to pilot the unit and make use of its full capacity without problem. At first, the Centurion was considered an elite-only mecha, as there were only a reduced number of them in existance, as an experimental field test to assess its limitations. When the test was deemed a success, the Centurion was rapidly mass-produced, together with the second generation super-soldiers, as the method used for the conversion of conventional soldiers into super-soldiers was perfected. Regarding its specs and equipment, the Centurion is not much of a redesign, but more like a change in the weaponry it carries, adding new equipment to boost its performance. The new armor is more compact, and the titanium inner frame on the joints was replaced with an elastic composite polymer that increase the mobility on the unit's joints without compromising its defensive abilities.
