Simchamber Calculator

Hey Daz, I've found a funny glitch on your calculator's math skills (No, really). On the Misc tab, with the percentage calculator, when I tried to calculate (Just for fun) the total damage my last attack on one of my battles can do, it gave me an... interesting result.

See it for yourself. LINK

I think it is due to the formula:

10000 + (260% x 10000) = 10000 + 26000 = 36000

so the percentage can mean the addition to the original value (in this case 100% + 260% = 360%)

hence instead of being written as:

____ * ____% = ____

it should be:

____ + ____% = ____

Uh. Yeah. Max is right.

It increasing the number by that percentage and I have it written wrong. I'll change that sometime.

0.601 Released!

(I'm still away)

Future notes

0.61 will have a button to move calculated HP/DP to the 'current' DP/HP box for working out those multi-hits even easierer.

Minor issue: It doesn't always increase the rank by 1 when you add a FUB chip.

I checked what the rank of my Nadesico would be with full chips and Y-Unit installed and got 18 (+26%) with 1 FUB, 18 (+31%) with 2 FUB and 19 (+36%) with 3.

With regular Nadesico I got Rank 15 (+21%) with no FUB, 15 (+26%) with 1 FUB, 16 with 2 FUB and 16 with 3 FUB.

For some reason, it works fine with both Yamato Nadesico (19/20/21/22) and Hobby Hi-Zack(!) (2/3/4/5)

I'll probably get flak for this one, but WHAT ABOUT THE MACINTOSH USERS.

Not me, since I do use Windoze, but there are probably some Mac users here.

Uhm. Thats weird. I don't know why it would do that.

I'll look into it tonight when I add the new dodging thing.

It will not work in firefox as it is a stand alone application.

I'm pretty sure wine handles .NET executables at the moment, though.

Okay! New version.

0.62

  • FUB Rank increases are now correct.
  • Added a silly little die roller to the misc tab (Totally not to fill out space).

The previous change to FUB chipping was effectively reverted. It's slightly more efficient now, but eh. Alicia, a rank 12 FUB should be 15,15,16,16. FUB minimum increases only apply to the base value.

Edit: Hmm... I should take some more recent screenshots, too...

Yeah, its alright. I got pretty confused by the way it was written as well (I've reread those rules so many times for this calculator...)

Anyway,

0.621

* Minimum damage decreased to 10 as per the rule change posted today.

Err, it looks like 0.621 doesn't work at all. As in none of the numbers update compared to earlier versions, almost like it's just the GUI lacking the actual code that runs it.

Okay, there. Fixed.

Okay, fixed a couple of things. I've made it version 0.622.

I also added the option to disable rounding.

I'm done until someone finds a bug. I promise!

(Actually, I'm working on a crappy javascript port for Mac and linux people. I wont bother giving it all the features or keeping it as current as this one, but it'll be there)

we dont need all the features, just the computations for attacking, blocking and taking damage and dodging.

0.623

* Fixed Block and Attack strength in defence.

* Modified the cost reduction text box in chips.

In the normal place~

Thanks, Jusu. Why didn't anyone else complain about those things?~
