Chapter 6: Other Rewards

Money, as they say, makes the world go round. Here in the SimChamber, we used a currence known as Credits.

Credits and what they do!
Credits are used to buy things, such as Mecha, Items, New Pilot Classes, and repairs. You keep track of your credits in your Credit Depository (or CD). For information on setting up a Credit Depository, please see the rules posted in the Credit Depository forum.

How do I gain credits?
You gain credits for fighting in either the Simulation Chamber 1 or 2. The amount you gain depends on the specifics of the fight, of course. You also gain credits each month by claiming allowance (explained below). Finally certain events or contests may have a credit award attached.

Allowance
Each month, everyone in the SimChamber is entitled to a certain amount of credits. To claim these credits, simply note them in your CD. You may claim allowance only once per month, and must do so during the month. If you did not claim allowance within a month, you can not claim it after the month is over, so remember to claim it. The amount of allowance gained is as follows:

Regular Member: 500 Credits
Moderator: 1000 Credits (Except MechDev Moderators)
MechDev Moderator: 500 Credits + 100 Credit comission per unit statted (up to 15 units).
Global Moderator: 1150 Credits
Administrator: 1500 Credits

Additionally, for every additional section of the SimChamber that someone handles beyond the first, they earn an additional 150 Credits. So if for example, someone mods both the Hangar and SimChamber World, they would earn 1150 Credits. If they modded Simulation Chamber 2, the Rules Thread, and the Hangar, they would earn 1300 Credits, and so forth. However, they do not earn extra credits for moderating subboards of forums which they moderate. A moderator may not claim this bonus for being both a Hangar and Arsenal moderator, nor may a moderator claim this bonus for moderating multiple Simulation Chamber or Parallel Assimilator sections.

Moderator Stipend
Moderators, Global Moderators, and Administrators receive a separate amount equal to their Allowance to go into their Stipend account. The Stipend Account is for rewards given to other members of the Simchamber, as the moderator sees fit, but may not be used for themselves in any way. In addition to this, all Super SimChamber Taisen Moderators and GMs receive 100 floating PPs each month, to be given out to people who they believe deserve them for their participation in the SSCT. These PPs may not be given out to people who do not participate in the SSCT, nor can they be given to themselves..

When a moderator decides to reward a member, he or she deducts that amount from the Stipend Account and notes it under Expenses in their CD account. The Stipend account is cumulative for up to three months, at which point, any unused stipend will be lost. This is to encourage moderators to use it on a semi-regular basis. Giving it away on a monthly basis is highly encouraged. Additionally, even if it is not given away, Stipend may be designated for a particular purpose (such as the completion of a hangar bounty), in which case it will not be lost at the end of the three month period, but it must be used for that purpose. Should an event transpire that causes it to be impossible to use those designated Credits, the moderator may change what they are designated for.
