Step 1: Select Core

Mechanaughts are all built with a core, a head, a set of arms, a set of legs, a booster, up to four weapons, and up to four skills. As the core is, well, the core of your Mechanaught, it must be chosen first.

Your core determines the bulk of your HP and a large portion of your EN, as well as your EN Output Rate, which determines whether or not your mechanaught has enough power to use all of its parts. If the combined EN Drain of all of your parts is higher than your EN Output Rate, your Mechanaught is unusable!

Step 8: Finishing Touches

After you've chosen all of your parts, weapons, and skills, it's time to check whether your new Mechanaught is legal! Add up the EN Drain of all of its parts and see if the combined EN Drain is greater than the EN Output Rate of your Mechanaught's Core part. If it is, your Mechanaught cannot be used, and so you'll have to either choose parts that require less energy or a more powerful Core part!

Next, you'll have to check if your Mechanaught is overweight. Add up the Weight of all its parts and weapons and see if the combined Weight is greater than the Capacity of your Mechanaught's Legs part. If it is, your Mechanaught is Overweight. Overweight Mechanaughts can still be used, but they suffer an Agi +40 penalty, so it may be wise to either choose lighter parts or select Legs that can hold more weight comfortably.

Your Mechanaught's HP, Rank, and cost must then be rounded. While individual parts give amounts of HP rounded to the nearest 5, for conformity with standard SimChamber units, once you have completed all of your part selections, you must round your Mechanaught's HP to the nearest 50. Rank must be rounded to the nearest whole number, because fractional ranks do not exist. If your final rank is 5 or lower, gain IS: 4 instead. Cost must be rounded to the nearest 5 Credits.

After that, you're done! Give your new Mechanaught a name - their names default to the name of the Core part you chose, but you can certainly be more imaginative than that if you choose - pay its cost in Credits, and add it to your AM. Now you can use it in SimChamber matches!

Step 8: Finishing Touches

Here's where we name our unit and round its stats, as well as make sure it's legal. Since its total EN Drain of 306 is less than its EN Output Rate of 485, it's legal, and since its total Weight of 92883 is less than its Capacity of 135000, it's not Overweight.

For stats rounding, HP must be rounded to the nearest 50. It's already at 2500, though, so it remains there. Next, rank must be rounded to the nearest whole number. 4.3 rounds down to 4, giving us a final rank of 4, which means it gains a 4th IS. Finally, Purchasing Cost must be rounded to the nearest 5 Credits, so the total of 159 from the base 60 plus the cost of all parts rounds up to 160.

As far as naming it, well, since we used all Pinkett parts, it's clearly a Pinkett.
