ASMX-01 Eternal Angel Kotora

Kotora is an Super Robot; Angel Line - produced by the Tzagirichi civilization

Begin Recording: KSMS-01-100 Tinakori-LOGCPT; Captain Kano Shikatri recording.

We've found an interesting artifact in some ruins located in EA-ACAR-01. One of our linguistic personnel stumbled across it while exploring an series of underground caves. She seemed to disappear into it, and the artifact activated! While it took no hostile actions against us, it seemed to attack the monsters all over the planet, including one the size of our ship!

Once we left the planet, it landed in our auxilary combat bay, and shut down. We can't figure out why it did this, and the artifact's structure is inherently hard to scan, however the skin is made of an odd sillicon-dihyderilum mixture that appears to exbit symptoms of a immune-system, as well as rapidly repairing itself. About all we can be sure is it's measurements, and one of our engineers is keeping a file on it. We will conttinue to examine the artifact, if only to determine where the missing personnel went. I'm still waiting for the report on that from a subordiante.

Besides that, normal operation.

Timestamp: 1515 [04.10.02 SB]

It seems the reason for it being in our combat bay became clear once we had continued our northerly exploration. Six weird entities, looking like heavily disfigured Fayia shapes appeared, and started shooting at us. Our shields barely took the first hit, and the second and third hits fragmented and destroyed large asteroids behind us. The artifact shimmered and disappeared, reappearing in front of us, holding out a hand, and the next hit, which appeared to be a black spray stopped cold far away. Sensors indiciated the formulation of a barrier around us, through manipulation of subspace.

The artifact, codenamed ASMX-01, drew a rifle of some kind, with an odd sight on top, firing it at one of the entities. As it fired, symbols and sigils represntative of various magical effects and divinties appeared and a massive red beam edged with red appeared, destroying a monster in one hit. The entities began to swarm her, but she fired again, destroying another, before putting the rifle away, then drawing her sword, and charging into the monsters. Each time she swung, a white particle discharge hit, often freezing the monster in place while she performed a form of triple slash from three sides destroying it. Within the next 10 minutes she destroyed the attacking entities and returned to our combat bay.

About this time, I recieved the report on missing personnel. While some had died on the planet, the only one who had gone definitly missing was Rika Taniagare, of the Taniagare clan, noted for their psionic abilities. An tactical analysis of battle footage reveleaed that the beams of both sides were high energy particle beams, but with differing concentrations and type of pyion concentrations.

For some reason, the angel keeps returning to our combat bay, and we still cannot find Rika. A theory our archalogical division is advancing is that it may share portions of Rika's desire to save the ship. In any case, the report on the past seems to indicate that these angels chose to merge with statues and make them lifeforms inorder to fight monsters, and an evil overmonster called the Profound Darkness. The materials and data storage we've found has not indicated what happened, however, we believe that the civilization was destroyed. That does not bode well for us.

I finally have time to report on the events of the last two days -

As we went further towards our next objective, we kept encountering small groups of monsters, and the artifact kept defeatnig them, however, at 1900 yesterday, the artifact shimmered, forming into .. Rika, and another girl, both unconsioucs. Rushing them to the infirimary, we determined that both were merely exhausted, and relief spread through the ship that RIka wa still alive. Later, after they had recovered, Kotora (the artifact) explained the missing links: The civilziation had been ultimately successful, however, our landing disrupted one of the sealing areas. Until the monsters sealed up were destroyed, and their boss eliminated, we would continue to be plagued. She explaineda bit about her self, and why she hadn't been able to return Rika: she had no clue how to unmerge herself with Rika, and was relucant to do so since she didn't want to harm her. With this in mind, she had waited until she was too tired to maintain the link, and had transformed into her other state.

Kotora transfered some data to us, mostly of use to teh arachelogiocal division, although there were seveal fascinating engineering bits to it, most of it being pored over by our engineer.

As we progressed, sensors began to pick up traces of a massive army, and Kotora deployed to fight it. DIsappearing from here to there, she managed to take out the first wave before we saw what had been hidden - litteraly hundreads of them, and a giant god-like figure, but decayed and rotten.

Kotora then began to perform an odd attack, with a moon appearing behind us, and then unleashed it, destroying the wave, but barely nicking the god-like figure.

Kotora's energy reserves had been depleted, but she still began to attack the god-like figure with her attacks - I later found out from Rika that she had to use her spells to inflict damage past it's black barrier - but was running out of options, energy, and speed when another angel appeared, bracketing her. The two put their hands together, and spun, gathering energy to a sun in the center of them before picking the sun up, imbuing it with more energy, and hurling it at the enemy, resulting in a massive explosion that blinded everyone.

When it cleared, both returned - and the second one lookd a bit different, and had a strangely alien pilot, who was trying to talk to Rika, and both confused.

With this, we turned to home.

Eternal Angel Kotora datafile:

Eternal Angel Kotora is 7m high, and looks like a standard angel in mythology, long hair, two white wings, and a kimono, with a holster and sheath. For some reason, th e hair is acutally individual, and ot stylized. As such, she appears to have black hair, blue eyes, and gray-blue kimono-armor. On the "hands"are mystical sigils.

The armor of the mech is considered to be the skin and next few inches, and is made of a sillicon-dihyderilum mixture. This mixture has amazing regenerative properties, often repairing itself in the middle of battle (Some forrm of HP Regen?)

There are no observable limits to her energy usage, and Kotora and Rika have hinted she can regenerate energy as long as she can see the stars, or drain it from some external source. Testing seems to confirm this. However, she has several crystals that seem to grant different effects depending on certain variables. Testing results conclude to be that in normal daytime situations within in an atmosphere, the crystals generate a magical effect that helps the mech move as fast as it does in space. In space, or when she can see stars, the crystals appear to generate a field that lets Kotora hide easily, to the point where shooting or locking on is difficulty. Kotora has no name for this in her database. The closeset analog to this in our science is a Kayrion Difference Engine, and the department chose Tzagriona C. Layer.

Additioanlly, the mech can disappear and reappear in other parts during an attack, meaning that she can fool the enemies for shooting at an after image, and do this frequently.

Lastly, Kotora has the ability to help her pilot more directly, mostly by casting spells that aid her pilot in killing the more powerful enemies. They are the form of: limiting the enemy movement by firing holy energy that slows them down, a spell that makes the enemy critically weak against incoming blows, a spell that seems to make her disappear from sensors including ours, and one that appears to negate the barriers of an enemy target. Kotora doesn't say much about where she got the spells, however.

Te no Hikari (Heaven 's Light) - A strong barrier Kotora can generate around herself, and can be extended to cover an ally, however, this also streches out the barrier and makes it more prone to shatter rather than stop an incoming attack.

Symbological Beam Rifle - A powerful beam rifle made by an ancient civilization, it seems to over time generate it's own energy pack. However, it has 20 shots until it's energy pack must be switched out. For this reason, Kotora always carries one spare on her, and Tinakori keeps a few spares for emergencies. (Does not reload in battlet ime, over time means somehting like a day or so.)

Tensa (Chains of Heaven) - Kotora draws a sword, and attacks an enemy. As she does, she unleashes holy energy to hold the enemy in place while she swings three times, one from the left, one from the right, and finally from the top down.

Te no Geki (Heaven's Strike) - Kotora's shoulders begin to glow, and an white aura appears around her, The sigil on her right hand blazes, and she extends it. Usually, Rika shouts out the attack when charged, and it explodes outbound in a massive beam envloping enemies ahead of her (Not a MAP.)

Te no Sabaki (Heaven's Judgment) - A symbol appears behind her as her hands gather a massive dose of energy, then she floats up a little as a moon rises behind her. Analysis indicates it appears on the battlefield, if it is not there. The moon glows white and a circle of arcane symbols appears ahead of the moon, with light streaking from Kotora and the moon. When the circle is full of light, it fires from the moon over the entire battlefield, but the light does nothing to allies. The next move tends to be spears of light appearing from the circle to strike enemies, followed by Kotora's Te no Geki.

Junshin na HIkaru - Overshine : Two Eternal Angel's combine their power to form a sun in the center of them as they both spin, then add holy power to it via their sigils before hurling it at teh enemy to destroy it.

What you have here doesn't really tell us anything about the backstory of the unit and doesn't cover all the units, so this fails for the time being. For now, these units explode. You get your money back on them.

Please come back in the future and make a proper submission detailing the background of the unit, how/why it was made, etc. This is more important than the characters' take on it, for our purposes. We just need a summary.

Historical Notes

Time Guardian Numiko is so called because the original designer was named Numiko Yamikachi. A Terran designer, she wrote this up in a story roughly occurring around SC 118. During the Tza'ni Chrono War, the Tza'ni focused primarily on what their species had been good at: adapting other designs into working robots, and time-space shrinkage. Allies, of the Tza'ni during construction, such as Kafaraion and Terra, provided some of their advanced weaponry. The original building started in SC 4801 when the blueprints were studied by the lead developer on Outpost #9, dubbed Farpoint Station. The lead developer, a Tza'ni named James Zwinge, had been reading old stories, while pondering up designs for a Captain in the war, Tsgzahri'arnia. When he came across this story, he instantly saw it, and told his secretary they had the design. The design for the Numiko was a bit complex, as it involved both a mech, and a ship to carry other mechs, or cargo in, and left a lot of the weapon details unknown. What had grabbed Zwinge's attention was it's Sound Attack Energy System. A system that converted a song, and the emotions and will behind it to a powerful attack. Such a system would work well with the General, who, in another time had been a pop star idol, and still retained her excellent voice. It was also, a potentially new system that could turn the tide.

While Outpost #9 had remained out of the fighting for a long time, such a thing was due to it's remote location in an inhospitable (and nearly unnavigable) area of space. The people there knew it would not last long and they rushed to build Numiko. Traditional Tza'ni mechs had a Heart of Reality fragment in them. When the mechs were destroyed, the fragment simply returned to the Heart of Reality, stored in Farpoint. As there was a lull on in Tza'ni mechs, the complete Heart of Reality was placed in the prototype chassis. As Tsgzahri'arnia had been assigned to the outpost, she visited the layout. Putting her hand on the Heart of Reality, there was a flash, and the large crystal gently placed itself in the center of the chassis. Tsgzahri'arnia was shaken, but it seems more had gone on than the others saw. Regardless, she commented that Numiko-chan liked the idea, a line that confused the designers.

The production process continued regardless. With the space manipulation intact, the parts that the ship became were easily stored in it. A system slided the rifle and shield in, and would show the cannon tubes - most notably the mega beam particle cannons, disabled when the robot would be in humanoid mode. Finally, the propulsion systems. Operating off a mixture of A-Photon and ZPE energy, the speeds enabled it to easily enter conventional Slipstream, or if that failed, there was the standard method of transportation, through the achronological ether to different times and places. In addition, both are highly maneuverable, although, when in ship form, it is clearly a ship, and suffers a maneuverability hit. Most maneuverability during combat was expected to be the comparatively low powered symbological thrust system in any case. (Really fast mech, not so fast ship) The armor continued to be manufactuered, a resource and time intensive procedure due to the high layers of melding used to create it, as well as embedding a specalized nanobot matrix to aid the armors self repairing procedures.

With the basic form established, expanded, and the spatial manipulations done, the slots for the external weapons were added and a unique adaptor that let it pick up other weapons as needed. Granted, the need for such was rare, but with an associated database of known adjustments, as well as several officers expected to be assigned, it was felt that such a technology could be useful on units. The rifle was a standard rifle, a rifle modified to fire a stream of energy from symbological cells stored in a circular arrangement at first, but with the refinement, the design was streamlined, lessening energy loss, and allowing for higher energy usage. At this point, the rifle design was advanced enough to separate the cells for the stream mode and simple shot fire mode. The upgraded rifle was called "High Output". For standard weapons, a pair of beam pistols, which were charged before combat into a pack of cells to have long life. With this type of charger, it's main selling point was the ability to pack a large amount of energy into a single shot. It's primary use was similar to the beam rifle on most mechs - the basic weaponry, to shoot burn kill.

There was one last more weapon for the Mech form to be added during this phase, something called the Keyblade of the Soul. Named that due to it's design, the Keyblade was a complex weapon designed to allow the robot to escape in melee combat. Formed of multiple layers of dead stars and filaments, the weapon was imbued with a energy that allowed it to glow and inflict additional damage to the enemy robot.

When the mech form was completed, technicians began the programming routines, but were surprised to learn that Numiko had done a great deal herself, with Tsgzahri'arnia assisting. Crew selection began shortly, with a unexpected urgency, due to rumours of a new operation that could unmake the planet they were on. The ship form was the one selected for departure, and Tsgzahri'arnia stayed in the ship to aid with construction. Rumours began to spread that Tsgzahri'arnia may have accidentally awoke the Heart of Reality, and bonded with her. The ship was outfitted with two mega particle beam cannons on each side, and formed in the shape of an phaser cannon, as the design intent was to fool enemies into the damage potential of the ship. There was one change that Tsgzahri'arnia and Numiko made themselves.

As Numiko's core, the Heart of Reality, was sentient, she was able to choose to reveal a secret of the universe - namely, that ZPE cannons actually drained from a source, albeit ineffectively. She believed that a powerful new weapon could be designed that would draw on the base source of the universe, a "4D" space. As the 4D weapon is a bit more complex than normal, it essentially "deletes" the data. While not as destructive as a paradox, it had the same impact power of one. Due to the energy and methods required, though, it was limited to 2 shots a day. Tsgzahri'arnia thought it was a neat idea and thanked Numiko. Then, she followed her directions to help install it. The appearance and components for it shocked the technicians, who left it alone.

The Heart of Reality drive, which granted the ship limitless energy, was specially adapted to output a set amount of energy to the shields, referred to as the Symbological Wall, which deflected shots depending on form - in mech form, it was very strong, but testing indicated that it may not be able to handle blasts on the order of robots such as Granzon's Black Hole Crusher. Further testing against simulated targets indicated it was overwhelmed at high amounts of energy, but did fine at lower levels. However, as the Ship had better distribution of power nexi, it was able to more efficiently resist the same amount with less energy. (Basically, the ship resists the same amount, but with less energy. The mech form is slightly more inefficient)

As they finished the appearance, programming and final touches, there was one thing that Zwinge couldn't finalize that was giving the team troubles: the Sound Attack System. While the needed components were there, they just didn't work in the pattern needed to execute the Lambda Effect. Tsgzahri'arnia was puzzled at something, and then finally asked him why he hadn't asked Numiko to explain what's wrong, revealing that she had indeed, woke her up. Zwinge decided to keep it to himself, and went and asked her. With her advice, he rebuilt the engine and had Tsgzahri'arnia do a dry run. With all systems go, they departed from Farpoint Station. As all mechs with Heart of Reality fragments are immune to time dilation - essentially, they are out of time, as long as they have a shield system working, the ship was expected to have little problem reaching the planet Tza'ni. They christened the ship Time Guardian Numiko

A side effect of a full Heart of Reality drive was discovered as they dodged blows from a small battlefield - it threw a series of afterimages out to fool attacks. Jumping to Slipstream once the ship was clear of the gravimetric distortions from the cluster, they safely escaped and were on a set course. Tsgzahri'arnia's first officer, a Tza'ni named Melfina suggested additional modifications in case of another combat, a weapon that was titled Code 506 within the military. A first shot weapon, it attempted to unmake the ships by placing the hulls at a state in their life where they were unbuilt. It was a one-shot deal, but could be caused by a simple golden wave. Tsgzahri'arnia approved, and the modifications, which could be easily done were completed shortly before they would exit slipstream within Tza'ni space. Due to issues with the Attack Systems interface, it was unavailable for this battle.

Exiting Slipstream, T.G. Numiko almost immediately was in a battle. Firing the Code 506 weapon, Tsgzahri'arnia ordered all combat stations. The first shot had taken some by surprise, and her next shots, the Mega Beam Particle Cannons took more by surprise. With her aid, the Tza'ni defenders were able to fight off the invaders, and Tsgzahri'arnia was promoted to Commodore at a ceremony the next day. However, unknown to the Tza'ni Military Command, their enemies had gotten a hold of their most powerful weapon: a weapon capable of inducing Paradox. Placed as a bomb on the planet, the chain reaction was calculated as able to eliminate the entire solar system. Tsgzahri'arnia was showing her plans for a major offensive when the bomb went off.

Since standard regulations for orbiting ships were that their shields would be on low-alert status, all but the T.G. Numiko were instantly unmade. However, as tweaks of the shield geometry were in progress, it's shields were up and at maximum power. At that, the ship still took a large amount of damage, with all but essential systems failing. However, as Numiko's core fully woke up, the rush of power managed to enable the symbological thrusters, and the ship's crew found itself headed straight into the center of the Paradox nova.

Tsgzahri'arnia had been thrown straight into the chronostream, as she was nearly right on top of the bomb. As she began to lose consciousness, which could lead to her dissolving, she saw Numiko appear in front of her. Barely able to talk, Tsgzahri'arnia gave a happy smile, glad she'd see Numiko one last time but was surprised when Numiko lifted her up, and cuddled her tightly, whispering "I won't let you die.".

Back in the ship, it was shaking violently, and suddenly calmed as they reemerged into what had been the Tza'ni system - now a barren wasteland with only a blue giant star. This shock at the complete destruction was doubled, when they turned to see Tsgzahri'arnia appearing on deck. The first officer had died in the attack, and with their Captain gone, the helm officer and tactical officer made the foolhardy decision to attack the enemy, and go down fighting. They set course to the enemy homeworld, the planet called Tribbilia. On the way, Tsgzahri'arnia recovered quite remarkably, with the doctors theorizing that she must have healed as she existed in multiple times for a period of time. Arriving on the bridge, she was about to order them to break off the attack when they dropped out of Slipstream to find .. that the civilization was dead and had been for many years. Sighing deeply, her line was "Forgot what we know. Our galaxy is dead."

With this, the ship began it's exploration of the effects on the timeline, and most of them were quite dire. The victory had been quite Pyrrhic, with negative effects all over the timeline. The Balmarians, formerly a gentle race had become quite warlike, and had conquered their nearest neighbors. It was about this time that the ship had been forced to fight as a mech, in a free for all between pirates, a minor alien race and Kafarion Military units. In the first attack ever, Tsgzahri'arnia took the name Mistress, as her race was dead, and her former identity with it. Still, the bridge crew continued to call her Commodore. She won the fight by using the Sound Attack System and a unique song, VICTORY. It was this encounter that convinced her to add the Symbological Beam Cannonry. While this would require a dock and some parts, she found them both on a asteroid haven for outlaws, called Blue Heaven. On it, she found a officer from a conquered world, called Yavoi.

Yavoi had been a command officer in the Manticore Navy, but the navy had been destroyed when a enemy navy had overtaken the world. Seeing command potential, Mistress invited her to fight alongside her, and see the sights. While Mistress was unaware of it, Yavoi was in reality Numiko. While Mistress had spotted the amazing similarity, she had dismissed it as coincidence. Leaving the asteroid base a week later with the new cannonry, the crew left to explore, with a few having mixed feelings on the new officer. However, she had made an improvement to the propulsion system by suggesting that they route their output through a board designed to increase efficiency and allow atmospheric re-entry, called a refboard, which earned her a tentative respect.

Exploring an remote sector of space, the T.G. Numiko noted odd photon emanations, and found what looked like a giant space monster of darkness being fought (if inefficiently) by an angel robot. Joining in the fun with an initial mega beam particle cannon blast, Numiko suddenly felt a twinge, and the mech bracketed Kotora, both glowing an identical shade of white. Joining hands, the robots revolved around each other as a brilliant ball of gold-purple fire appeared in their hands. Surprised, Mistress ordered that they increase flow of energy to the hands after Numiko revealed why she was doing so: Kotora was her sister, and the figure was the Emperor of Darkness, Nagoku DaiJishin. The other robot released a sudden flow of white energy that coincided with Mistress's black flow, circling the rapidly growing energy blast, then the two released it. Nagoku DaiJishin laughed at it, before it exploded in a light so bright, it was seen all the way on the other side of the galaxy. When it cleared, only a small statue was seen on the side of the enemy, looking nearly identical to an angel, except twisted and evil, and Numiko and Mistress fired the 4D cannon, eliminating DaiJishin from this universe forever.

Picking up the exhausted Kotora, they were surprised to learn it's pilot was in the Kafarion Military. While being treated, she explains about Kotora, and how she ended up as her pilot. Meanwhile, Mistress is surprised to learn that Yavoi was created just to be with her as a humanoid Numiko, as Yavoi explains that Kotora's angel spark, what had animated her, came from the same aether as she did, and that she could not and would not let her sister die. Mistress smiles, and agrees. One should always support their family. Talking it over with Kotora, the two promise to keep in contact, but Kotora admits she has gotten involved with her new pilot, and wants to protect her world. Numiko seems disappointed, but smiles, promising to keep in touch and visit once in a while.

Taking a quick sidetrip, she finds the original ship and deposits Kotora and Rika with them, then leaves before they ask any questions about her, intending to continue with their exploration and mission: to keep the timeline intact from those who would break it, and to restore peace.

Technical Readouts

The robot form of Numiko is only 26m tall, while the ship form is some 560 meters long. The robot form is very agile, while the ship form relies more on it's defensive systems to survive.

Defense Systems

Numiko has several defense systems, the primary one being her armor, a mixture of several alloys that grant increased resilience and toughness. The organic components of the armor, with the nanobots also granted it a large degree of self repair, useful for extended combats. ( Some form of DR and HP Regen?)

However, to prevent blows from reaching there, she has a shield and barrier - the shield titled "Supernova Burst" after what is drawn on it. The shield is made of the same materials of the armor and one more, bireyllium, which emits a energy shield that reduces the incoming kinetic energy of incoming attacks. However, it does not function in ship form. (Something along the lines of a Beam Shield)

The barrier is a wall of magical energy that sharply reduces incoming energy, in many cases outright stopping it. This barrier is much more energy efficient in ship form, but it functions in both. (Something like Warp Field?)

Additionally, the Heart of Reality's numerous side effects also grant some defensive effects, by projecting false afterimages and jumping through time to avoid an impact. (Double Image?)

And finally, the symbological pulse thrusters embedded in the ref-board allow for it to easily dodge incoming attacks, as it often feedbacks on fuel and speed to improve performance (A -% DC mod.)

Heart of Reality

The gem, said to represent Reality, had a divine spark awoken by Mistress. When awoken, it increased the powerflow, giving it limitless energy as it directly draws from Creation. However, the flow was limited to something nearing 1/5th of it's total energy per minute, due to limitations placed by Numiko, the awoken Heart of Reality. In addition to providing it with energy, Numiko protected the crew from temporal changes and makes sure the systems are running at peak efficiency, with attempts to paralyze the robot rejected. (Some form of EN regen and immunity to Paralyze, possibly?)

In addition, Numiko is slowly gaining skills, and can cast several spells, such as spells that make the enemy slower, or target the enemies weak point. She also has a spell that aids the robot by helping it dodge incoming attacks by slowing down time only for the space surrounding the mech, enabling faster dodging. (No real specifics..)

Offensive Systems

Both:

Symbological Beam Cannonry - Adapted from Kafarion Military technology in 115SC, this weapon is simple. Induce a rune (most often of fire or water) to appear and a beam of light appears, directed at a target. These can be fired singly or in an array, depending on the pattern.

4D Interlude: Transphase Universe Cannon - Named after a famous battleship, the cannon works by altering the target in the 4D dimension, outright deleting or corrupting the data. Testing indicates that the target will still retain damage even if not totally destroyed, which has given rise to a theory stating that the 4D data file may become corrupted and impure status are that.

Code 506: Wide Area Impact Erasure - A one-shot weapon that attempts to reverse time rapidly for up to 5 targets to dissolve their hulls and machinery. Most of the damage inflicted by this weapon is all or nothing, as the time reversal is only effective if the mech is totally dissolved.

Sound Attack System - A system that works on a principle similar to the Lambda Driver - converting the will and emotions in a particular song to an release of energy, even going as far to create other robots, even if for only a second. Depending on the song sung, there are different effects.

VICTORY - A powerful wide angle beam, it spreads from one end to the other of a battlefield, relying on a disintegration effect to deal most of it's damage. This beam is followed by a second, a simple beam before it clears.

ANGELUS - A more targeted attack, Numiko extends her light wings to full power, and the Keyblade glows a solid white, charging an enemy as small (~5m) angel figures appear everywhere, firing beams in a single direction, before disappearing and Numiko striking the target, then throwing him in the air and releasing a powerful piercing beam from the Keyblade.

RISING FORCE - The most powerful of attacks that Mistress knows, it starts off with the battlefield suddenly becoming a desert planet in a solar system with 5 suns, and pillars with a multitude of languages surrounding them as robots, mummified robots rise up and begin attacking with melee weapons. Meanwhile, Numiko fires a large spread beam of light, with hits the entire battlefield, then begins to fire repeated high energy blasts from her fists, flying on the wings. This attack then finishes up with the mummies sinking, and the pillars catching everything in a cage of sorts, then violently imploding, throwing the robots directly at a sun and through it.

Mech Only Attacks:

High Output Symbological Stream Rifle A mixture of Kafarion and Human technology, the rifle allowed for a solid stream to be fired, which was often useful if you were tying to hit a moving target that was using asteroids, or other grunts to protect itself, or to fire a simple shot. Refined with a new filter and cell technology, it was titled High Output, and given a cell capable of supporting up to 20 shots of the beam rifle, but only 2 shots of the stream rifle - and unlike the simple beam shot, the cap could not be easily switched out, requiring the entire cell assembly to be replaced (Not quite rounds locked, but explaining why the beam shot can be replaced with the spare that Numiko keeps, and not the stream.)

Keyblade of the Soul - Referring to a specific design, the Keyblade of the Soul was a sword shaped in the form of a key and used to attack in melee. Imbued with a material that causes it to emit a beam coating over it, it was often useful against enemies with defenses against solid weaponry.

Twin Beam Pistols - A pair of pistols, these were charged before battle by the reactor which gave a total of 30 shots before the next recharge was required. The cells in the pistols were an advanced e-cell design prototyped in the robot to see if it would do what the tests indicated it was capable of doing, fire shots with the punch and impact of a full beam rifle. However, the downside was that recharging took up a good deal of energy, and was often a drain in combat. (It IS rechargable in combat, however. )

Ship Only Attacks:

6x Mega Beam Particle Cannons - To give the ship coverage in all directions, banks of 2 cannons were put in both side and one mounted on each side in reverse, even though they appeared to be simple phased laser energy attacks to others. The cannonry was able to pump out massive energy in the form of a beam, often punching through enemy ships. (Note, it says 6, but that's more story driven. In reality, it's much more similar to the Defiant's Phasar Cannons, in that it does no more than 2 hits.)

Combo Armaments:

When paired up with Kotora in mech form, the two robots are able to channel their power into a destructive ball, which soon becomes a high energy star. When it releases the energy output of several suns, they release the final blast of energy and a form of photon energy, Kotora light, and Numiko dark. Released at the target, a bright supernova takes place before the space is literally ripped up and reformatted, which destroyed Nagoku DaiJishin's form, excluding the core, which was simply deleted later by the 4D cannons.

Angel Guardian Kotora

Historical Notes

The angel guardian line first arose at -70000 SE, when a civilization found itself under attack from monsters and entities they could not repel with their weaponry. Praying to their gods, the priests received a divine inspiration, to infuse the well crafted angel statues with power. Doing so, the angels transformed, gaining a form of sentience, and their outer ceremonial metals becoming a bio-synthetic metallic alloy. Since they could be piloted, many volunteered to be a pilot, and chosen by the angel themselves - it began to become a great honor to be an angel pilot.

The first generation of Angels were the strongest, indeed, the fifth angel was the chief priestess herself, who was transferred into one of the angels when her spell backfired. The first generation has the capability to use other hand held weapons without instructions or possible modification. While other angel generations could use other weapons as well, it was not innate. This was caused by the priestesses thinking that the innate power should be the best, starting with the third generation - some 90 years later. By that time, a ceremony where all the children who were becoming adults would gather, and then be chosen. This persisted for many generations. becoming a coming of age ritual.

As time went by, the angels were not enough to repel them, and gradually, they were destroyed. Most angels died in the final battles, except 5 who managed to seal the great enemy up on a forest planet. In that time, with the civilization dying, a few of the planets simply exploded from their power sources imploding, the main planet rendered uninhabitable by it's crust being pummeled into nothing in the final attack. Over time, their structures began to degrade The remaining planets tried to form their own nation, but eventually became isolated as without the leader of a central power, the squabbles over took them. The original nation became myth and legend in the few planets hat survived the coming Dark Times. After seventy thousand years, only scattered ruins were left, with little information as to where the came from, and what the purpose was..

Kotora was the only remaining angel after the others decayed, gradually becoming piles of rock. Trapped on the planet, she slept for seventy thousand years. While the others decayed, Kotora had enough remaining strength to merely sleep it out. So she did. Gradually, her body rebuilt itself, even as the others crumbled into dust. She woke up first in 9 SE, when an explorer crew landed to rebuild supplies, and accidentally broke the seal. When the crew was under attack, she instinctively woke up, seeking a pilot. Her chosen pilot.. was a girl who was about to be killed by the great enemy, titled Darkness. Rika had been a linguistics officer who had originally signed up as a pilot, but was rejected due to the amount of pilots.

Still partially being merged, the pilot, Rika, instinctively lashed out, and destroyed the attacking monsters, and slowly began to master the weapons, no longer having to rely solely on the swords. Managing to clear a departure for the ship, she agreed with Kotora, and they rushed the great enemy, unleashing all of the power they could muster, intending to sacrifice themselves to reseal him. However, it was not to be. As Kotora unleashed her final attack, Tenokusari, it ripped apart the spacetime fabric at the point of the impact, destroying the planet and sending them flying in opposite directions. Luckily, Kotora was found floating in space after that by the explorer, the Valorous, which was performing an analysis of the destruction of the planet and it's aftereffects.

When the merger finished, Rika was able to leave the mech, and was throughly examined by medical staff to determine that she had no alterations, aside from a highly enhanced psychic and magic perception. The robot was studied, and what little information gathered was of no help. However, the archaeologists were delighted to be able to talk to someone who lived through the civilization's fall. With her information, they finally could put names and locations and detailed information to various ruins and practices. Rika was not really able to rejoin the crew as she used to, but she and Kotora often had to sortie to defeat the ship from bands of monsters that had plagued the area and seemed to be focused on them.

Eventually, Kotora surmised that it was an attempt to pin down their location so they could be affected with a Dark Wave, and recommended best speed away. It was correct, and the ship barely escaped. Shaken up, the captain asked her how she knew that, and Kotora reminded him it had become a fairly normal occurrence in the last years of the war. Departing with Rika, Kotora went off to face him one last time. While she knew she had no chance of survival, she could at least give the ship time to warn it's superiors. Rika was more optimistic, but still, she agreed to what was essentially a suicide mission.

Rika's merging with Kotora was complete enough that she could use Kotora's ultimate attack, the Tenokusari in combat, something she and Kotora were depending on to hold off. As soon as the ship let them go, Kotora and Rika headed straight for the enemy. While the unison improved with each new fight, they had fought enough monsters to where the link was the most complete that Kotora had ever had with a pilot. Reaching the enemy, Kotora identified him as the Emperor of Darkness, Nagoku DaiJishin. Barely entering maximum weapon range, they were under repeated Dark Wave attacks, which easily destroyed the planets behind them. Firing the rifle rapidly, Rika had to watch as the little damage they did would slowly heal itself, even though it would overcome the barrier. Until they got into range to use the more advanced weaponry, Kotora advised her that they were as gnats to him.

Rika then advanced straight at him, dancing through the beams as she reached the minimum range to use Tenokusari, that is, within melee range. Unleashing the white chain at him, it glowed with a brilliant light as it cut through him, leaving deep gashes that threw off sparks, however, she was forced to dodge a punishing series of blows and blasts. Attempting to strike again, he attempted to countercut it with a sword made of pure darkness, only to howl in rage as it cut right through it and struck him again. Unleashing his attack, Kotora was tossed about, with her self generating armor slowly becoming overtaken before Rika had a brainstorm, and used the stream rifle, a weapon not unlike the buster rifle, to clear a swath of the dark globes striking them, and again, struck at him with the Tenokusari. However, Kotora drew Rika's attention to the sensors - he had healed half of the cuts.. they weren't doing any lasting damage. It simply took too long in-between attacks to do any meaningful damage. As he prepared to blast them with a highly charged blast, several beams of light struck Nagoku.

Kotora looked around to see a mech approaching him and continuing to fire, rapidly moving over to the floating mech. Surprisingly, the cannons did deal more damage than their rifle, at least, enough to send him reeling. When Kotora saw Numiko, she instinctively started the combo, which involves the pair joining hands. At that, Rika was badly shocked to lose control, and remained so until Kotora told her that Numiko was her sister. Regaining her composure, Rika did some rapid commands, rerouting power to the hands in time to see the small globe light up into a brilliant star. Kotora increased the flow and started the photon circuit of light, a white band while she waited for the other robot, which responded with the photon circuit of death. Completing it, they threw it at the Emperor and watched as his outer shell, and all the spirits he had stolen were released or destroyed, before Numiko aimed a hand out, with a cannon appearing that fired a red beam, with symbols around it, before it erupted in circles that destroyed it, eliminating him from this universe forever.

Watching with some surprise as the mech became a ship, Rika had to watch as her energy reserves dropped to nothing. Luckily for her, Numiko was willing to take them in. When she disembarked, people were surprised to see where Rika had been and when they learned how she had been changed, they seemed a little surprised. Meanwhile, they were glad to help repair Kotora and she was told they'd reach the Valorous shortly. Kotora seemed to be deep in conversation with Numiko, and Rika amused herself by reading through the news they had picked up. Shortly before they were to reach the Valorous, Kotora told Rika of her decision to fight with her, as Kafarion was in the midst of a brutal war with a self named empire. They were left there and when they re-boarded the Valorous.

Only a month away from from Kafarion, they were debriefed, but there was little they could say about what had happened. They were glad to be going home, but were rudely surprised when they had to authenticate quite extensively. It took the better part of a day, especially due to Kotora and Rika's altered appearance. Not totally trusting of the ship, two military couriers were assigned to trail it back to Nari. The inquiry there was worse, and took up a full 2 weeks before either Rika or Kotora saw each other again, and Kotora revealed she could assume a more humanoid shape. As the Valorous was undergoing combat refitting and most of the officers additional training, they were effectively on leave, and Kotora wanted to discuss with Rika what they wanted to do next.

When the refit was complete, with the Assault Platforms being loaded, Kotora flew up and asked for formal petition to board, surprising the bridge crew. Rushing down to see who her pilot was, the Captain was pleasantly surprised to see Rika emerging, in the uniform of a pilot squad commander, a Lt. Cmdr. Rika explained that she and Kotora wanted to fight in defense of their new home. With the moderations almost making her a new species, Rika looked otherworldly, but still, she saluted. "Lt. Cmdr Tanyaki, reporting for duty."

Technical Readouts

Kotora was a small mech, only some 25m tall, but packed multiple systems that helped it survive in a fight, and fight off it's enemies. In addition, it's powerplant, a divine spirit, enabled it to constantly draw on power from the ether, even in small amounts(Some form of EN regen?)

Defense Systems

The armor is a complex biological alloy titled sycarbon tilthyaoni. It is resistant to impact energy, and self repairing, albeit, estimates indicated that only 10-15% were regenerated in a given minute. To supplement that, there was a barrier system that the engineers titled "Layer of the Ancients", that worked by placing several emitters in a lattice formation which slowed down attacks, and in a limited fashion, would stop the weakest (Something along the lines of G-Territory. Decently strong, but not very strong ) and a shield made of pure light, which easily absorbed beams. When asked,Rika referred to it as Light's Faith Shield. (Basically, a beam shield.)

It's last defensive ability was the Illusion Shape Generator, which threw out images to fool enemies - most often, they targeted images that didn't exist. This was designed to supplement the rapid movement rates and maneuverability of the robot, following the dictum to always dodge, rather than take hits.

Angelic Link System

A system that sped up the reaction times of the pilot by directly linking it to the mech and the consciousness of it, the angel that gave the mech sentience. This system also permitted usage of the more advanced weapons such as Tenokusari and Ethereal Blast Stream Fire. However, it required a time of getting used to each other (Evo points, in the area of 3-5, preferably). With high rates of synchronism, the system's feed of real time data, as well as control often meant the veteran pilots were able to dodge extremely well, and were devastatingly accurate. However, as a novice, the data flow was too much, and the angels started restricting the flow to what they could handle - meaning the benefits were minor at lower levels.

In addition, the angel would often directly aid the pilot by making sure that the robot could fight, even when attempts to paralyze it were used. And would cast spells in aid of the pilot, mostly battlefield control. (Yes, I know, but I'm willing to be surprised.)

Offensive Systems

Symbological Vulcans - Fire-linked pair of solid round weapons imbued with the symbol for fire, a standard weapon for anti-personnel and other miscellaneous means.

Symbological Blade Tonfa Two swords imbued with symbology in order to strike as if it was a beam, the weapons are typically duel wielded to confuse and deflect enemy sword strikes.

Ethereal Blast Stream Fire - A large rifle like weapon that draws energy off the main mech, it was designed to emit a constant wide angle beam in order to better penetrate against armored targets and deal damage to a wider area. The rifle works by drawing energy from the ether and mixing it with the energy it draws from the mech to create a spectacular energetic reaction

High Output Symbological Rifle - Working on the same principle as the beam rifle, the major differences are the power source, and the fact it's been highly refined to eliminate less drain and loss due to bad storage or firing methods. It has 20 rounds, and Kotora carries a spare cap. This weapon was added by the Kafarion Military as part of it's program to create Mobile Assault Platforms.

Tenokusari - Kotora's most powerful weapon, the weapon is a chain imbued with holy power. When activated, the simple chain would glow bright white and be sent at the enemy, usually within melee range, but occasionally, just outside. While Kotora was reticent to use it from a distance, the chain was designed so that Kotora need not enter melee range to attack. Rika has commented that while you can stay out of melee range, you get best effects if you enter it - better chances of multiple hits.

Clarify everything (your setting details, almost all of which are unexplained; the technical terms, which are similarly unexplained; the nature of the magics and shit being used here; Numiko's physics-breaking transformation ability and how the interior copes with it, as well as how the hell two of her can exist at once; the weird outliers like referring to physical things as "data" without explanation; runes? symbology?; the timeframe of everything happening; etc.), and rationalize your links to existing universes, because as is those things are really hurting you, what with the not making sense and all. Giving the whole thing a coherent flow would help too, since there's a lot of stuff that is explained pages later or introduced after it comes up or backstory that's given in the wrong places and things like that. It's just a string of very random-ass events.

Historical Notes

The Time War is a war that encompasses a wide area of space. Started when a Tza'ni agent killed an opposing Star Syndicate agent before he was born, the resulting infraction destabilized peaceful relations because the agent, one who had advocated peace at a critical moment was no longer there. The two nations, Tza'ni and Star Syndicate were unequal to begin with, the Tza'ni Federation spanning over 40 sectors and having the second best navy in the universe, and the Star Syndicate a criminal-corporate entity that headquarter in a dark matter nebula. At first, the war went easy for Tza'ni before an operation, Shake the Chains of Heaven, took place.

This operation killed a crucial unit during formation in a past time, severely weakening their current army. With this, the war turned, and the practice of safeguarding places from temporal changes began on the battle ships. But more forces were needed, and quickly, as the war spread to different times, some of them billions of years apart.

With the catastrophic defeat in SC 4895 of the 9th Tza'ni Navy, many pilots were now without robots to pilot, forcing overtime creation on all production factories, including Outpost #9, dubbed Farpoint Station by the crew serving there. One of these pilots was a noted Captain, Nasachiro Tanigro. The lead designer on the station, James Zwinge, was ordered to make a new robot, one capable of turning the tide of war.

This robot was called Time Guardian Numiko because the original designer was named Numiko Yamikachi. A Terran designer, she wrote this up in a story roughly occurring around SC 118. While records indicate that people were interested in it, it would require a large degree of space manipulation and high energy, more so than any current terran science could provide. However, the Tza'ni excelled at space manipulation and the science had advanced enough, prompting the lead designer to pick it and begin the process of production.

The design for the Numiko was a bit complex, as it involved both a mech, and a ship to carry other mechs, or cargo in, and left a lot of the weapon details unknown. What had grabbed Zwinge's attention was it's Real Emotion device. A device that converted a song, and the emotions and will behind it to a powerful attack. Such a system would work well with the Captain, who, in another time had been a pop star idol, and still retained her excellent voice.

As the current production series was focusing on a build without the heart of reality, due to cost and time concerns, the complete Heart of Reality was placed in the prototype chassis. As Nasachiro had been assigned to the outpost, she visited the layout. Putting her hand on the Heart of Reality, there was a flash, and the large crystal gently placed itself in the center of the chassis. Nasachiro was shaken, but it seems more had gone on than the others saw. Regardless, she commented that Numiko-chan liked the idea, a line that confused the designers.

The production process continued, with the complex process of layering in the material used to provide the space manipulation. A long time ago, the Tza'ni scientists had noted that there was a sort of.. underdimension, which was infinitely large. Research into proved that a bubble of sorts could exist that would make the inside of a space much larger than it's outside. The area that the bubble existed in was called subdimensional space, or subspace for short.

By the time Numiko was being built, they had become experts in manipulating it, even using subspace itself to provide strength to the shields and hull. This manipulation was done first, as the mech was much smaller on the outside - as an entire crew staffed the mech at times. This also came in useful when adding in components for some of the weapons, which could be much larger than they looked.

The next step was installing the essential systems. With the Heart of Reality providing the energy via ZPE Energy, or Zero Point Energy, which drains infinite energy from the cosmos. While conventional ZPE drives derive it primarily from the play of virtual particles, the Heart of Reality's drive is based on the cosmic creation energy beyond this universe which provides infinite energy. This is augmented by an A-Photon reactor set, a reactor set that uses the power of light and amplify it a thousandfold, which provides ready energy for the robot.

The armor and outside components were made from a substance called Chronotium Dyirlithium. The melding was specifically crafted for Numiko, and like most standard mechs of the time, has a nanobot matrix embedded in it, in order to repair the unit rapidly in combat. The idea behind the strong armor and nanobots is that all defenses should be used by themselves in emergency - however, the armor was not intended to be the only defense. A powerful barrier, the Symbological Wall was added. This worked by warping the space and severely distorting gravity around the mech with a well of gravity manipulation symbols. This absorbs most incoming attacks easily.

A powerful energy shield was also installed in order to help deal with enemy swarms. The shield was called a Supernova Burst Shield, as it describes the energy appearance, a brilliant white in the center with reds and purples surrounding it. The shield was tuned to stop anything, however, due to the nature of the energy used to create the shield, it is better at stopping energy beams.

With defenses built, the makers turned to the core system components and weaponry. The Heart of Reality, a sentient artifact of the creation of the universe was the primary component. The Heart of Reality called itself Numiko, after the mech and provides many additional features. It provided a sort of instinctive real-time evasion system that worked by splitting time up into microseconds, and hiding in them, providing the illusion of the mech appearing and disappearing. It also provided targeting and impact detection systems that enabled the main pilot (or anyone operating the helm console, which is a rare occurrence) to rapidly account for battle conditions (Bunshin and Zero system like abilities)

In order to speed up atmospheric speed and fighting speed, the main thrust is routed through a refboard, a surfboard big enough for mechs to "surf" air and space on. While it can fly without it, it suffers a reduction in speed. As such, the refboard is launched near automatically.

Another side effect was Numiko's unique ability to dimension jump, using it to hide from incoming attacks and reappear next to the attacker before it could react, effectively using a ninja trick.

However, once this was placed, the programmers and makers focused on attacks. With the main attack component placed, the Omega Driver, based off the will and emotion of the pilot, they could start to add in it's dependent weapons and others. However, as it had been known to cause issues during testing, they placed the basic ranged and melee weapons first. (Basic here refers to weapons that do not require the Omega Driver). After they finished installing those, they installed it s “ultimate” ranged weapon.

First off was it's basic weaponry, the remote cannonry. Called the Symbological Beam Cannory, it consisted of an array of 25 high output focused beam cannons that could be randomly aimed - arising from the air and focused via symbols to fire on targets. Additionally, as they drained very little energy from the robot, they were often mobile. (Modeled similarly to the funnels?). However, they could be fired in a wide dispersal pattern to provide suppressing fire.

The next weapon added is the High Output Symbological Stream Rifle, a powerful beam rifle with two modes - normal output mode, which is an extremely powerful focused beam that uses Symbols, rather than E-caps to hold down power waste and friction drain. The second mode is similar to a buster rifle, and spreads out across a small area to target several enemies. The last ranged weapon was two mounted railguns, called Transphase Railguns. The railguns accelerate a solid projectile to high speeds, and also phase it so that it rapidly penetrates barriers, shields and armors. Due to the hammer space feature of the mech, there was 30 shots, 15 for each railgun.

With her basic ranged weapons installed, the engineers moved to the next weapon, the Keyblade of the Soul. The only basic melee weapon equipped on Numiko, it was shaped in the form of a Keyblade, a blade shaped in the form of a key. This was more a convention of Kafaraion mechs, where most melee weapons are in the style of the keyblade, a legendary weapon that had united it in the distant past. The newer mech keyblades consisted with a hard metal shell and a inner metal-symbol core, which lead to a really sharp blade with a energy edge, used to cut through armors built against physical attacks.

The attacks dependent on the Omega Driver took the most time to built in and program, as the Omega Driver did not work on conventional weapons. Additionally, it required near perfect pilot synchronization, achieved by it's instant bonding with Numiko. However, the researchers theorized that it would require some fighting data before it could achieve synchronization normally.

The attacks on the Omega Driver system are powered by both the will of the pilot and the energy of the mech, as such, they take up a large amount of energy. The most basic one is called Uchuu Semehrubosuhou. The mech routes power through its arms and driver, a small symbol appearing on a closed fist before it opens the fist and a small ball of black-red fire appears. Aiming it at a group of enemies, it opens its fist and releases a torrent of raw destructive power at them, destroying them down to their elementary particles..

The second attack is a bit more complicated, called Taikyo Tatakikowasu Buchikamasu and is a single target attack, despite being much more powerful. The attack uses a principle that anything in this universe is a data set in another universe, and directly deletes the target and the space it occupies in that universe, and then returns the space to normal to avoid a paradox.

The final attack can have variable effects, depending on which mode is enabled. All of the attacks are triggered by singing, with releases most of the driver's energy. There are 3 possible modes “GONG”,”OVER SHINE” and “VICTORY”.

“GONG” is an attack that summons images of units that are capable of fighting from periods in the past and future, and while the attack is executed, they all attack the enemy targets, with anything from a knife to a buster rifle like blast. ( Probably something like a Map ). It is capable of summoning up to 40 images.

“OVER SHINE” an attack that depends on being where sunlight or moonlight can hit the mech. It gathered up sunlight and moonlight and releases it in a rapidfire swarm of energy bolts targeting up to 4 people before finishing up with a beam aimed at one of them.

“VICTORY” is an attack that involves releasing the energy gathering elements as a form of beam wings, temporarily overcharging the energy cells of the mech and it glows bright gold as she covers the area in rapid gold-silver blasts, before releasing another wave of energy, and then ends up by freezing time enough to slice the field with a large energy sword drawn from the remains of the energy and reappear on the other side.

Soon after it was completed, the unit was deployed to the front lines, and was one of the few time shielded units made, and saw heavy repeated attacks to destroy it. The near suicidal attacks seemed baffling until a rush large cruiser appeared, and rammed the planet. While defenses shot most of them down, one hit and activated a nova bomb that erased the planet… from ever existing. As Numiko was the only one left after such a battle, she protected herself from the explosion of the solar system by escaping at high warp. However, this ended up throwing them into an alternate space... and when light returned, they realized they had been thrown into a nexus of time, and they spent uncountable moments there trying to learn how to jump back.

The only advantage from this is that Numiko had managed to fashion an android body for her. From that point, Nasachiro took the name Mistress, and spent her time ensuring nothing like that could happen again. With the mysterious disappearance of the Tza’ni Federation, this job was made easier and eventually boring, leading them to randomly travel and see the sights.

Angel Guardian Kotora

Historical Notes

The angel guardian line first arose at -70000 SE, when a civilization found itself under attack from monsters and entities they could not repel with their weaponry or magic. Praying to their gods, the priests received a divine inspiration, to infuse the well crafted angel statues with power. Doing so, the angels transformed and gained a form of sentience. The angel’s outer ceremonial metals became a bio-synthetic metallic alloy with this transformation. Since they could be piloted, many citizens and priestesses volunteered to be a pilot, and chosen by the angel themselves - it began to become a great honor to be an angel pilot.

The first generations of Angels were the strongest; indeed, the fifth angel was the chief priestess herself, who was transferred into one of the angels when her spell backfired. The first generation has the capability to use other hand held weapons without instructions or possible modification. While other angel generations could use other weapons as well, it required training, or in some more extreme cases, adapters. This was caused by the priestesses thinking that the innate power should be the best, starting with the third generation - some 90 years later, and by later generations, the people had no clue how to enable other weapons to be of use. It became tradition to have a ceremony where all the children who were becoming adults would gather, and then be chosen to pilot the angels. It was regarded as test of worthiness to be an adult – and the angel pilots joined the priestesses in the planets form of nobility.

As time went by, the angels were not enough to repel the enemy, and gradually they were destroyed. Most angels died in the series of final battles, except the five who managed to seal the great enemy, called the Emperor of Darkness, on a forest planet. At the end of the war, with the civilization dying, a few of the planets held by the civilization simply exploded from their power sources imploding due to sabotage, and the main planet was rendered uninhabitable by it's crust being pummeled into nothing in the final attack. It slowly became a lifeless rogue planet, the star destroyed. The remaining planets tried to form their own nation, an attempt to recreate the civilization and restore it to his former glory but eventually became isolated as without the leader of a central power, the long simmering squabbles overtook them. The original nation became myth and legend in the few planets that survived the coming Dark Times. After seventy thousand years, only scattered ruins were left, with little information as to where they came from, and what the purpose of the ruins was for.

Kotora was the only remaining angel after the others decayed, gradually becoming piles of inanimate rock, no longer sentient. Trapped on the planet, she slept for seventy thousand years. While the others decayed, Kotora had enough remaining strength to merely sleep it out. So she did. Gradually, her body rebuilt itself even as the others crumbled into dust. She woke up first in 9 SE, when an explorer crew landed to rebuild supplies and in the process of exploring, they accidentally broke the seal. When the crew was under attack, she instinctively woke up, seeking a pilot. Her chosen pilot was a girl who was about to be killed by the Emperor of Darkness. Rika had been a linguistics officer who had originally signed up as a pilot, but was rejected due to the amount of pilots.

Still partially being merged, a process that involved changing the pilot until she would be able to pilot Kotora, Rika instinctively lashed out, and destroyed the attacking monsters. During this time, she slowly began to master the weapons, no longer having to rely solely on the swords. Managing to clear a departure for the ship, she agreed with Kotora and they rushed the great enemy, unleashing all of the power they could muster, intending to sacrifice themselves to reseal him. However, it was not to be. As Kotora unleashed her final attack, Tenokusari, it ripped apart the spacetime fabric at the point of the impact with the opposing weapon, destroying the planet and sending them flying in opposite directions. Luckily, Kotora was found floating in space after that by the explorer, the Valorous, which was performing an analysis of the destruction of the planet and it's aftereffects.

When the merger finished, Rika was able to leave Kotora, and was thoroughly examined by medical staff to determine that she would have slight physical changes, but more mental changes that were mainly of the form of highly enhanced psychic and magic perception.

While she knew she had no chance of survival, she could at least give the ship time to warn its superiors.

However, Kotora drew Rika's attention to the sensors - he had healed half of the cuts, they weren't doing any lasting damage.

Regaining her composure, Rika did some rapid commands, turning off the powered weapons and rerouting power to the hands in time to see the small globe light up into a brilliant star. Kotora increased the flow and started the photon circuit of light, a white band while she waited for the other robot, which responded with the photon circuit of death. Completing it, they threw it at the Emperor and watched as his outer shell was destroyed, liquefying into nothing, and all the spirits he had stolen poured out or distingrated from this gaping hole. After that, Numiko aimed a hand out, with a cannon appearing that fired a red beam, with symbols around it, before it erupted in circles that destroyed it, eliminating him from this universe forever.

Watching with some surprise as the mech became a ship; Rika had to watch as her energy reserves dropped to nothing.

Only a month away from Kafarion, they were debriefed, but there was little they could say about what had happened.

Rushing down to see whom her pilot was, the Captain was pleasantly surprised to see Rika emerging, in the uniform of a pilot squad commander, a Lt.

It is resistant to impact energy, and self repairing, albeit, estimates indicated that only a medium amount of armor was regenerated in a given minute. When asked, Rika referred to it as Light's Faith Shield.

This system is a system that sped up the reaction times of the pilot by directly linking it to the mech and the consciousness of the angel that gave the mech sentience. This system also permitted usage of the more advanced weapons such as Tenokusari and Ethereal Blast Stream Fire. However, it required a time of getting used to each other.

In addition, the angel would often directly aid the pilot by casting spells that were mostly battlefield control.

Offensive Systems

Symbological Vulcans - Fire-linked pair of solid round weapons imbued with the symbol for fire, a standard weapon for anti-personnel and other miscellaneous uses. (Ed Note: Symbology, is the art of imbuing objects with a symbol that stands for a certain concept or word, has been around for a long time. It is essentially imbuing things with magic from a divine being)

Symbological Blade Tonfa Two swords imbued with symbology in order to strike as if it was a high energy weapon- these swords are typically duel wielded to confuse and deflect enemy sword strikes. As most of the angels were meant to be fast strikers, tonfas, rather than broadswords were equipped.

Ethereal Blast Stream Fire - A large rifle like weapon that draws energy off the main mech, it was designed to emit a constant wide angle beam in order to better penetrate against armored targets and deal damage to a wider area. The rifle works by drawing energy from the ether and mixing it with the energy it draws from the mech to create a spectacular energetic reaction (Like a Buster Rifle)

High Output Symbological Rifle - Working on the same principle as the old-style beam rifle, the major differences are the power source - which rather than using a energy capacitor it draws energy from a symbol representing god-fire, which drew energy from the cosmos. However, when a symbol is invoked, it, and the metal it was ingrained on, disappeared. There were only 20 slabs per storage unit. Also, the fact it's been highly refined to eliminatedrain of energy due to bad storage or firing methods increased its’ output. It has 20 rounds, and Kotora carries a storage unit. This weapon was added by the Kafarion Military as part of it's program to create Mobile Assault Platforms, feeling that Kotora should have the same weapons in order to keep something standardized.

This attack contains sufficient power to create a reaction strong enough to destroy planets, and is rarely used by Kotora unless it's a last resort issue.

Supernova of the Past! A combination attack between Kotora and Numiko, this attack involves them making a large miniature sun in their hands and throwing it at the enemy. The resulting explosion creates a sun that goes from birth to supernova; even spawning a black hole before it evaporates, throwing out a second wave of power at the enemy. This attack contains sufficient power to destroy planets – it has been used as such before.

Modification requested to Time Guardian Numiko

Date: 5 March 2008

Weapon/Ability in question: Beam Pistols

Issues with Weapon/Ability: Missing (I forgot to include it)

Possible Solution: Added.

Reasoning for Solution: The beam pistols are (this is why I hate forgetting things) it's 'main' weapon, as the rapid fire and relatively low energy drain per shot make it perfect to take out most enemies, and even tougher enemies with repeated fire at one point - although that takes some aiming.

The beam pistols operate off an energy link that compresses what would normally power a high end beam rifle into a small shot.

(500 Credits paid)

Weapon/Ability in question: Beam Pistols

Issues with Weapon/Ability: A bit.. weak.

Possible Solution: A bit.. stronger.

Reasoning for Solution: While I realize that normally beam pistols are weak, these are meant to rival high end beam rifles for output, as stated in the description. The idea is that they fool enemies into thinking they're weak weapons, when, really, they aren't.

LSX-104 "Light of Luna" Serenity Gundam (Gundam Mk. XVI)

(This is a Mobile Suit, clearly, and the series is simple: New Mobile Report Gundam Serenity: Echoes of the Fallen (desc in the thread). There's only one so far because the story for this needs me to come up with a one more, as this is intended to be like an OVA)

Description:

(A short overview of factions:

Lunar Alliance: Luna, 2 asteroid bases, and 3 Lincoln point colony groups . Very aggressive imperialistic types who seek to control the entire Earth Sphere and Mars

Confederate Colonies of Mars: Basically, Mars. At first they didn't mind the remaining people within the Earth Sphere, but all they want is for Luna to leave them alone.

Republic of Terra: Basic third party faction that controls what's left of independent Earth and a single group of remnant colonies at Lincoln 7. and Lagrange 1 . Rather weak, but this war gives them momentum to declare independence. Do mostly terrorist and guerrilla type tactics.)

In the distant future of an alternate Earth, the conflict between nations merely reached into space. There were several groups of colonies at each of the Lincoln points, points that were found to be stable for the Earth-Moon-Sun system, instead of the Lagrange points, which more active station keeping would be needed, as well as several colonies who were at a fixed point and orbited with engines. Each continent had their own colonies in theory, although in practice the Asia block controlled the Australian and African colonies, and Europe controlled both America's colonies & the European colonies.

At 2089 AD, the new calendar, SE is instituted. In 10 SE, the colonies (all of them) declare independence and form the Commonwealth of Space Colonies, often called the Cols. During this time, the Moon had been colonized almost entirely by the United States and was rapidly becoming it's own major power. Seeing how the war would go with several new colonies being built and the old ones being abandoned, they began moving all of the major government and corporate functions to Luna. Suspicious, the China-Japan bloc began moving their functions to a large asteroid that had been moved into Earth orbit and taking over abandoned colonies and moving them. These maneuvers were performed in time, as the remaining abandoned colonies were dropped on important centers as a preemptive attack to stop war and to gain independence. However, this didn't work, and the War for Earth began. During this, mobile suits known as Gundams were made and it was found that humans with psychic powers, or Newtypes, were best at piloting them

The first war ends in a tie, with both sides agreeing to leave each other alone. Frequent brush ups occurred within the next 60 years, and on 1 Jan 75 SE, the four War of Destruction begins, which left most of the colonies either partially destroyed or needing a large amount of repairs before they were either livable or self sufficient, Earth a desolate wreck, the Heavenly asteroid destroyed, and Luna the clear victor in the fight. Luna then imposes very harsh conditions on the rest of the participants under the guise of "establishing a clean and restored Earth, and harmony for all.". Unknown to Luna, a mix of Japanese nationals, colonials, and European forces as well as the "lost" American colonists had colonized Mars and converted Deimos and Helios into bases and terraformed Mars in order to get more land to relieve the strain.

When a party from them return to reestablish contact, they see the results of the War of Destruction, and are taken into custody by Luna, who seeks to establish dominion. One escapes and manages to warn Mars, while the rest are sequestered in Luna itself. 25 years later, the Lunar Wars of Aggression begin. One of the trump cards was the new series of prototype gundams, which were designed to operate between the farthest allied colony and Mars. One of these was stolen and later disappeared.

The absence of a top-line unit would later help the forces of Mars, called the Confederate Colonies of Mars, to victory

Description

(This should be better than S. Freedom or the GX-910X Mechdev series - since this was originally conceived as an expansion before I realized the story didn't make sufficient sense to be a part of that universe.)

Serenity Gundam was designed to provide most functions, with two others being built to do specific functions. Like most Lunar mobile suits, it had as a major part of it the Moonlight Sonata system, a system that interfaces with the pilot and sources of information to surround them with data to enable more accurate firing at weak spots, as well as aiming and dodging incoming blows. However, to fully use this system, one had to be a Newtype, and then have synced with it, which required several mock battles if one was lucky, several battles if one was not.

As with all Lunar units, the design philosophy was that taking hits was inadvisable, especially as beam weapons by this time were everywhere. The tired old design of a unit with a beam shield, rifle and beam sword for base weapons were retained, although in the case of each, they used the most advanced current technologies. The beam shield, Phased Light Field used a more latticed approach in order to resist incoming beams more effectively when shielded. In addition, they used the most powerful thrusters and engines in order to give evasive power and speed. it also had a prototype cold-sleep system in order to let the pilot survive trips from Mars to nearest colonies. Finally, it used every available method to strengthen the power of the rifle and sword (Pretty much standard, although they're still pretty powerful for what they are). This was all aided by the perfection of an anti-matter/matter reaction engine which granted immense power as well as the ability to rapidly regain lost energy in combat.

However, the suit specific weapons gave Serenity it's edge in battle. With most of Luna's elite corps as Newtypes, most of the weapons were designed to take advantage of that. As such, the suit weapons started with the ARROW or Autonomous Remote paRticle Operation Weaponry. (They're bits. Or funnels.), which detached from the unit and struck targets remotely, but only if a Newtype was in would they function. Another specialized function was a mega particle cannon that had docking stations for the funnels to deliver a focused high powered punch. This style of attack was referred to 'Copernicus' Cannon [Focused Mode] (Like funnels, should be Psych. Energy only, and should probably pierce barriers.). However, the cannon could be fired by itself, which required no newtype abilities to do so. (Simple Mega beam cannon). Finally, the suit was equipped with a pair of mounted railguns and an attack pattern to target multiple enemies

Readout

Inherents

Moonlight Sonata – This system takes in battlefield data from all camera and sensor systems, and then directly feeds it to the pilot. The better the synchronization (usually achieved through battles), the better the pilot is at targeting weak points and avoiding enemy attacks.

'Sefanic' Anti-Matter/Matter Reaction Engine – A very powerful engine embedded within the gundams that provides a massive source of energy to power it's systems as well as provide battlefield regeneration. This provided the Serenity Gundam an edge over it's competitors until they were able to copy this design.

'Phased Light Shield' – A shield that uses latticed and layered beam emitters to provide a shield that is heavily resistant to incoming blows (Strong Beam Shield.)

'Nakashiro' Impulse Reaction Drive – A highly efficient drive system, it consists of multiple thrusters and several backpack drives. Due to this the Serenity Gundam is very fast and agile.

Weapons

Anti Personnel Vulcans - … as the title says.

'Murakumo' Beam Sword – A simple beam sword, built to cut through mechs and enemy ships alike.

High Energy Particle Rifle – A very powerful beam rifle.

'Copernicus' Beam Cannon – A docked mega beam particle cannon.

'ARROW' Funnel System – A series of funnels stored on the sides of the mech that detach and shoot things. Like.. funnels.

'Copernicus's Arrow' Docked Beam Cannon [Focused] – The funnels dock to the cannon and aim to a focal point in front of the cannon, creating a focused beam that can punch through barriers and severely damage a target mech ({i]Think of this something like the beam cannon on a Death Star in terms of visuals.[/i[)

Tranquility' 989mm High Speed Phased Railgun – A pair of hip mounted high powered railguns that shoot an high powered (via phasing) beam cannon at targets.

Attack Pattern Meteor – An attack protocol that uses all of the weapons to target multiple opponents.

MCC-05F Olympus Gundam

(Roughly the same strength as Serenity Gundam, and is the only other ace unit in this OVA.)

Built by one of the many eccentric figures that littered the Mars landscape, this turned out to be one of the best suits produced. When Luna took the advance party into custody, the one who escaped gave notice to Mars about what was going on, and a hurried secret council was called. Given the comparative strengths, it was decided that while attacking would be necessary to eventually persuade Luna and it's satellites to leave them alone, they should focus on defense as an attack could happen soon. However, it was at this time that a member of the council, known for her keen insight, suggested that Luna would have to wait for at least 20 years to rebuild her forces as they were undoubtedly strained after the last war and would need to build up forces to cover the distance from Luna and Mars.

This allowed them breathing room to rapidly build up forces and defensive abilities. One idea was a contest to build the best Robot. The winner would get a contract for defense, or aid in forming a company to get to produce their mechs. In this way, MCC-01Z Red Star, MCC-02G Rakatomo, MCC-03AZ Waterloo were produced and rapidly becoming mainstays of the Martian Armies.

But MCC-04A Marebellium and MCC-05F Olympus were different from the start. While they were entered to the contest, the idea more was for the creators, a small group who would later form the backbone of the lead unit of the Mars Colonies, the Vanguard of Freedom, to find good pilots who were in the military, as well as get them to where they could be used. This aim was realized, and their hopes realized when in the opening attack of the War, the two pilots of these units were able to use the tactics devised by the unit's leader to drive off a powerful attack on the moon base Deimos and nearly destroy the enemy fleet, including one of the three prototype Serenity units.

As the Vanguard advanced into the Earth Sphere, it managed to liberate colonies in it's way towards Luna. This placed Luna in an untenable position, having rebellion spread to Earth itself, and faced with the fact that no Serenity prototype unit remained (1 more destroyed, 1 stolen and vanished), it surrendered to Mars.

Shortly after the conflict, the creator of Serenity Gundam, the creator of Olympus Gundam, and the pilot of Olympus Gundam all disappeared, with rumors saying they went to Jupiter...

Description

The design philosophy used by the creator of Olympus is simple. While dodging is useful, the unit will need to take some hits or may run into a lot of weaker units. In these cases, the defenses should be ready for it. This meant a larger than normal mobile suit followed, partially from the need to maintain a dual power plant in order to provide the power needed to operate the cannon. The main advantage of this was regarded to be the armor, beam dispersing barrier and multi function rifle, but it had several other advanced weapons such as the cannon and gattlings.

Inherents

Will of the War God – Like the Moonlight Sonata, the unit collects battlefield information and then feeds it to the pilot. But in this case it was used to direct blows to more reinforced areas and track enemy movements, increasing accuracy. It's main use, especially with a Newtype in control, was that it blocked enemy funnels from being effective while allowing allied funnels to work.

'Sefanic' Anti-Matter/Matter Reaction Engines – As Serenity, except the Olympus has two that provide more power, espically to the cannons.

'Phased Light Shield' – As Serenity

'Nakashiro' Impulse Reaction Drive – A highly efficient drive system, it consists of multiple thrusters and several backpack drives. Unlike with Serenity Gundam, this is used to compensate for the increased armor.

Trilithium' Armor – An armor made of a combination of alloys and a material found in the armor of Mars, providing thick resistance from incoming attacks, beams and explosions. (DR.)

'Kajihia' Beam Neutralization Field – This uses several emitters to disrupt and weaken beam fields. Capable of disrupting even high level cannonry from ships, this feature made Olympus a lifesaver when it took a set of cannon hits for the ship it was escorting. (A .. I-Field.)

Weapons

Anti Personnel Vulcans - … as the title says.

'Ares' Beam Sword – A simple beam sword, built to cut through mechs and enemy ships alike.

'Sakehouser' Giga Particle Cannon – Basically, this is a large ship cannon except handheld. It required a lot of energy – so much so that it's run off the second reactor directly.

'Valkyur's Spear' Multi Function Long Rifle – This has several modes. The first is a high powered beam rifle shot, usually called '[Mode Alpha]', one that is designed to take down ships, using an ASPFDS round to penetrate the armor and take out critical areas, called '[Mode Beta]', '[Mode Delta'] which drains energy from the reactor to detonate the beam round and spread the blast out to multiple targets, like a buster rifle. And finally, it has '[Mode Gamma'], which opens up ports to spread the Delta mode detonation as multiple rifle shots as much.

'FIST Puncher' Missles – Medium sized missiles that are used to detonate incoming missiles, or countershoot for allied ships elsewhere. These are never really intended to be used except to take out missiles or unarmed transports.

'Dalhouser' Particle Gattlings - Mounted within the upper arms of the Olympus are a set of gattlings that are designed to rip into enemy grunts and destroy them rapidly, in order to hold a position against even thousands. (I'm not sure if this is meant to be an F or such, but it's basically.. gattlings. Wide area gattlings.)

'Devastator' All-Out Attack – All ranged weapons are fired in an area in front of the unit, with 'Valkyur's Spear' set to Gamma Mode in order to reach as many targets as possible. During this, the Valkyur's Spear is overcharged in order to ensure maximum damage.

The Modification Form

Date:11 Feb 2010

Weapon/Ability in question: EN Regen (on Olympus Gundam)

Issues with Weapon/Ability: not there?

Possible Solution: there?

Reasoning for Solution: Both of the reactors provide battlefield regen. Not much, mind you, but the idea was for EN Regen S on Olympus since it had two reactors.

EXPANSION: The Anti-Matter/Matter reactor uses a seed amount of anti matter and matter and collides them to create a massive amount of energy. While normally this would lead to rapid depeletion of stores, the reactor is encased with a material discovered in a labatory 68 SE. This material, which emits particles often called Nashijir Particles after the discoverer (but in technical manuals positronic radiation) generates antimatter from the play of virtual particles, allowing the reactor increased power output, duration, and efficiency. Due to the total output under normal circumstances being more than total requirements of the unit, it was easily able to compensate for the use of weapons and thrusters on the battlefield. This was considered a must for both suits as energy was needed to stay alive between Mars and the nearest Earth-Sun-Moon Lincoln point.
