(This series is Space Crusader Sayaka-chan, the unit types are Angels for all, and each unit has a specific type for it as well. I'm reasonably certain I can only pick one, but..)

General Backstory

An ancient civilization found itself under attack from magitechnological monsters that proved superior to their high level of technology and moderate symbiology. As these enemies, called 'Proclaimers' began to take over the massive civilization, an increasingly desperate civilization prayed for help from their gods.

The mother goddess herself, Numiko, attempted to strike back at the wave of enemies, but, something went wrong and she disappeared within a paradox. Seeing this, the angels descended from heaven to fight back. While they felt that the civilization was doomed, they wanted to give people time to flee to other planets. This army slowly died out but they enabled a mass exodus of technology, knowledge and people to other civilizations. However, a few had learnt of where the enemy came from, and a way to stop them.

These few were the archangel of justice, Kotora; the archangel of courage, Okami; the archangel of wisdom, Furauko; and a small army of smaller angels to provide support.

Entering the distorted 5D space of the enemies, they discovered that to these entities, our universe was a mallable reality, and the Proclaimers were merely animate tools. A desperate battle took place and while the archangels survived it, they were thrown wildly into realspace as the 5D space collapsed into itself with the destruction of entities providing power.

Worst off was Furauko, who was reduced to a mere spirit, followed closely by Okami who was unable to actually put herself to sleep.

Kotora managed to land on a planet and was horrified to discover that in their absence the civilization had been destroyed. While the proclaimers were also destroyed... only those who had escaped were saved.

All three were the last remnants of the original civilzation in a short period - in 2000 years.

And the eras passed, with empires rising and dying, until a new federation rose - the Kafaration Federation. By this time, Furauko was just a drifting spirit in space, and Okami had gone insane. Kotora had mostly repaired herself, but all three would play a role in the upcoming war..

And yet another one waited in the wings..

(Kotora is stronger than Okami, and both should be ranked as if they were an evo off of Angel Guardian Kotora)

Common Abilities

Angelic Union: a system that combines the mechanical sensors, the magical sensors, the magic flows visible to the angel, the angel's knowledge, available uplinks, and finally the pilot's knowledge. This system grants unsurpassed battlefield control and information capability. However, very few spirits and pilots can handle all that data at once, and as such, the data delivered depends on the nature of the angel spirit, and starts out slow at first, but scales as the two sync together and gain knowledge. The types that follow:

  • Fire - Emphasizes fast, accurate, strong movement (TDC +, DC -, WD +)
  • Water - Emphasizes fluid, persistent movement (TDC +, DC -, DR -)
  • Air - Emphasizes rapid, unwavering movement (DC -, DR -, WD +)
  • Stone - Emphasizes steady, hard movement (TDC +, DR -, WD +)
  • Aether - One who has chariots upon the normality of the universe, rides upon the transformation of the six elements, and thus makes excursion in the infinite. (TDC +, DC -, DR -, WD +) (The mods for aether > other elements. Basically, something that has Aether type is an animate force of the universe itself)

(the following apply to all but Numiko, who have specific entries for armor and power in her writeup)

Armor ["Blessed Tynchinat"]: Combination of advanced biometallic alloys blessed by the Mother Goddess

    Grants a large amount of structural strength as well as great amount of force dispersal. The blessing of the creator also repairs the armor, although it varies with the strength of the blessing, and the benefits depend on the type of angel.
  • Fire - As a Fire type is a fast striker, heavy armor would be counterffective to it's role. However, it needs some armor as well. As such, while it has no particular reinforcements, it still has a good amount of DR and some structual reinforcement to enable it to bypass automatic defenses. (Some DR (not much), some additional HP (not much))
  • Water - A Water type is designed as an accurate striker, but also has reinforcement against hits, unlike the Fire type (Like Fire, but decent DR isntead of some.)
  • Air/Stone - An Air/Stone type is meant to take hits and keep on going. It has the best defensive potential out of the angels. These two also have a secondary layer that disperses energy beams partially before it even strikes the armor(It has a large amount of DR and provided HP rather than few, and something like an S Armor for beam coating..)

Engine ["Eternal Possiblities"]

The archangels are powered by a mystical force that generates energy from the possible potential of the element they represent. As this potential is infinite, it provides the angels with a massive amount of power, which will also regenerate during battle. This is called The Eternal Possiblity (I think this should start out at S and graduate to L, essentially, the more you use it, the more you represent the element, and the more you can draw on it)

Common Weapons

(For all the archangels)

  • High Efficency ITK-324K Stream Buffer Rifle - A rifle that most of the archangels picked up in space. It's a pretty powerful beam rifle, and has been modified to accept standard caps.
  • Beam Sword - While not as good as Okami's Sword, most of the angels carry around a standard sword for general use. (Okami has her own sword, and as such, does not carry this.)
  • Novastorm - The angel draws energy to her and amplifies it thousandfold, then releases it in an explosion centered on her that spreads out rapidly, destroying all in her path and throwing others in a shockwave centered on the explosion.

Specific Unit Abilities

Brave Archangel Okami

Recovered by the Kafarion Miltary Forces after Kotora and Furauko healed her, she has since left to find a pilot suitable and to atone for what she did. For a while, she was a scourage of space pirate forces before finding herself drawn to Earth and a particular girl there.

With her, she has vowed to protect her new home.

*Okami is a Fire type angel, and a Tier 2 Angelic Union.

Okami - As the angel spirit controlling the mecha, Okami can directly help the pilot by casting various mystical abilities, however, most of her abilities aid the pilots targeting and evasion abilities. While she can learn spells, she's only really capable of aiding the concentration of the pilot, including one that works by drastically boosting the reaction time of the pilot. As she recovered her abilities, she gained the ability to provide information about enemies to other pilots allied with her via mystical means. (Some of her skills should probably be evo point based.)

Sublight Etherline Drive - Okami's movement drive provides mobility and speed to Okami and grants her great speed and maneuverability far surpassing most other mechs and angels (A good DC mod.)

Weapons Okami has several onboard weapons

  • Blazing Sword of Courage - The above sword on mystical fire, which cuts through most armors.
  • Angel's Blazing Chain - The sword ignites and reforms into a very long chain of fire that penetrates armor and cable swung in arcs.
  • Heaven's Decree - Okami charges energy to her sword as sigils appear around her, and then points it towards the enemy. The energy focuses into a tight ball infront of the sword, which is then fired in a straight wide line. Everything within the beam is then collapsed when the space is compressed into a small point and then stretches it back into place, causing severe stress and pressure to anything in it's reach.
  • Enforcer of the Sacred Oath - Okami throws a sword that splits apart into multiple swords, stabbing through the enemy and embedding it to an invisible surface behind them, followed by summoning up power into a ball between her hands which she throws at it, before grabbing the surface and hurling it into the nearest star.

Just Archangel Kotora

*Kotora is a Air type angel, and a Tier 2 Angelic Union.

Kotora - As the angel spirit controlling the mecha, Kotora can directly help the pilot by casting various mystical abilities, however, most of her abilities aid the pilots targeting and evasion abilities. While she can learn spells, she's only really capable of aiding the concentration of the pilot, including one that works by drastically boosting the targetting accuracy of the pilot. As she recovered her abilities, she gained the ability to provide information about enemies to other pilots allied with her via mystical means. (Some of her skills should probably be evo point based.)

Spaceweave Shield - In addition to the armor, Kotora carries a shield. This shield is one she picked up from the Kafaraion Navy. It's a very large shield that is powered by several beam emitters in a lattice arrangement.

Weapons Kotora has several onboard weapons

  • Spear of the Ancients 'Amenonuhoku' - Kotora wields a naginata.
  • Rage of the Heavens - Kotora performs rapid slices, spinning around to slice through the armor.
  • The Jewels of Justice - The naginata ignites, forming a long energy blade. As Kotora swings it, the jewels on the naginata fire a pair of high power energy beams straight ahead before the blade stabs the enemy.
  • Heaven's Decree - Kotora focuses energy on the naginata, and when it glows dark blue, she swings it. As it nears the enemy, it begins to throw afterimages, making it impossible to predict where it will hit and with what force. When it hits the target, the slice generates a miniature black hole within the inside of the mech, creating a singularity that implodes within milliseconds.
  • Enforcer of the Sacred Oath - Kotora rapidly stabs from different locations, leaving a spike that embdess itself into an invisible surface before she fires a series of energy balls that create rapid implosions all over the enemy. Finally, the entire surface itself collaspes into a larger singularity that explodes after seconds. (Should also inflict Armor Break or Pierce)

Eternal Goddess Numiko

(an evo off of Time Guardian Numiko)

Backstory

In the Space Entity War, the Kafarion Federation (at the time, only 4 powers) found themselves under attack from powers from beyond their dimension. While small at first, they rapidly scaled up. This war spread, and soon enveloped the few places the angels were hidden. One, Kotora, was discovered by a fighter pilot who happened to be on guard duty. With her aid, that naval group soon began to regain lost ground and hold the line vs. the invaders - eventually, she would be the first to find the origin point of the extradimensional space.

The others, Okami and Furauko, got drawn in by accident, with Okami recovering only when she found a young girl who pleaded with her. The two would eventually become a highly effective individual unit that fought back the invaders from the systems near her home planet.

Furauko eventually found an eccentric genius with the backing of an empire to rebuild her a statue. While not the same as the others, the suit was as good as the others in technology.

The three met again, and like last time led an invasion into the extradimensional space. Even with the time giving them new skills and tricks, the three were unable to make significant headway against the massive numbers in the extradimensional space. All seemed lost before Numiko, in a robot of her own, showed up. The four together managed to reach through the hordes and found a Proclaimer who had achieved sentience in the long years of being sealed away.

After defeating it, and reemerging in real space, Numiko left again to search the cosmos and defeat any remaining Proclaimers. The three angels joined the protectors of the new Federation

Unit Abilities and Weapons

Numiko's changes were caused by several crises and merger of the Heart of Reality and Tears of the Goddess, a mystic artifact she found on the rim. Aside from boosting the power of the Heart of Reality, it also gave her more abilities, and this came in time for the Space Entity War, and subsequent hunt for Proclaimers.

One major change was the loss of transformational abilities, and the ship form. While it retained a pocket of space inside, this was no longer used to keep an entire ship's crew.

*Numiko is an Aether type angel, and a Tier 3 Angelic Union.

  • Heart of the Goddess - An updated version of Heart of Reality, this boosted the reaction speed and illusionary abilites. A major change to it's potential was control of the probablities near it, granting it resistances to abnormal conditions (A better Heart of Reality.)
  • Reality Drive - A more powerful reactor, it combines the set of A-Photon reactors and Heart of Reality drive and amplifies it, deriving power from not only the energy of creation, but also the energy of destruction: it derives energy from everything. (EN Regen M or better, if possible)
  • Armor of the Divine: With the awakening of the Goddess Numiko during the merger, the armor changed to be an unanalzyable mixture of metals and energies. This armor rapidly repairs itself and provides for strong defense in combat. (Some DR, HP Regen M if possible)
  • Inner Universe: Unlike the previous mech, the combined mech has a very powerful set of thrusters and rotational engines. This provides it with amazing agility and speed. In normal combat, the mech can just zoom through the battlefield if needed before reentering FTL speeds. ( A good DC mod and decent agility)
  • Gravity Shield - A shield that warps gravity around it to protect the mech behind it. Something like Lightweave Shield or something)
  • High Output Supernova Stream Rifle - An extremely powerful beam rifle. This replaced the High Output Starlight Stream Rifle. Numiko acquired this from an experimental facility of a technological empire on the outer rim. It's output far surpasses the previous rifle and is her standard loadout
  • Supernova Beam Pistols (Double) -An upgraded version of the beam pistols on Numiko, these pack an overpowered energy cap to boost damage output. In this, she fires both pistols once
  • Supernova Beam Pistols (Double Burst) - Rather than fire one of them once, this rapid fires them in a burst mode in front of her.
  • HS Transphase Railguns - As the original, but tuned to be much faster. Due to the increased energy and speed, it has much greater piercing ability. (As Transphase on Numiko, but with potential Armor Pierce? and better ability)
  • Holy Lights of Creation - When the merger happened, the previous cannons underwent a change. Mainly, they gained the ability to fire through dimensional holes, meaning that they could be slightly larger and use the energy of other universes as well. This has several modes: focused fire on a single target, widespread dispersal fire to target many people, and focused area fire to dominate over a area where enemies could be grouped for a counterattack. Like the "Lights of Heaven" symbological cannonry, this cannonry is also remote, largely detached from the mech. (Cannonry, just more powerful than on Lights of Heaven)
    One of the largest changes was the near loss of the Omega Driver due to the components suffering from severe overcharge and backlash from the merger. When it was finally rebuilt, the system still ran off willpower, but required synchronization with the pilot in order to unlock it's full abilities.
  • Perfected Omega Driver: Shadows of a Forgotten Dream - The replacement for Ghosts of the Past, this summons forth shades of fallen heroes and soliders who fell for a dream. These shades attack in a broad area in front of them, aided by the power of the Omega Driver. They attack with whatever is in the mech's capability (This is an updated version of Ghosts of the Past.)
  • Perfected Omega Driver: Fury of the Virtues - The replacement for Fury of the Suns, this gathers up energy and fires rapidfire swarm of energy bolts from multiple angles on up to 4 mechs, before firing a beam shot at one of them.
  • Perfected Omega Driver: Determination of the Victor - The replacement for Beam Slice. The mech gathers up energy into the sword it carries, then activates the energy wings, flying through the battlefield as the sword expands, slicing through the enemies to the sides of her as she flies forward.
  • Perfected Omega Driver: Terminal Sanction - The replacement for Omega Driver Final Technique: "Return to Nothing". At full power forms a mini universe around the target, with galaxies and everything in the universe repeatedly impacting the enemy before the miniature universe itself collapses on to the enemy.

"This is a listing of those assorted heroes who with their skill, will and power made a mark on the world, and serve as a reminder that being a hero is through your ideals and deeds."

In a distant planet, in a distant galaxy, far far away, a planet was averted from tyrannical dominance by a band of unlikely heroes who strove to overcome those who dominate their fellows. In the war that followed, several of them rose to be leaders and inspiring figures. These are their stories.


The Magsteria Blaster looks like a statue of an ancient elvish ranger - a tall woman with elvish ears wearing what looks like studded leather armor with gem ornamentation. The statue carries a staff that it uses in obvious movements. It's about 7m tall, and moves with a grace that some do not expect.

Pilot: Liathella

Attacks:

Magic Missile - Three pairs of blue-red missiles lance out from the staff at a single enemy target. Requires Spiritual Power

Issac's Greater Missile Storm - Up to ten blue missiles burst out from the staff and fire at various targets in various groups. Requires Spiritual Power

Fireball - A circle with mystical writing appears in front of the unit, gathering energy.. and fires a small red ball that explodes on impact, creating a massive white-blue fireball, burning it's enemy. Requires Spiritual Power. (Also should Inflict Burn)

Ice Piercer - An arrow made of ice that freezes the unit on impact!

Melf's Acid Arrow - A circle with mystical writing appears in front of the unit, gathering energy... and fires a green arrow that splashes acid all over it's target. This acid eats into the armor. (Spiritual Power)

Agannazar's Scorcher - A massive stream of fire stretches out from the staff at the enemy, striking all in it's way. (Spiritual Power)

Leaf Storm - A massive amount of leaves swirl around the unit and then attack the target rapidly, the edges cutting unearthly hard.

Arrow from the Dark - The unit's staff becomes an bow and arrow, and from a great distance, the unit aims at the target, and fires a sharp diamond-tipped mecha-arrow, taking the unit surprised (Snipe, basically)

'Hwacha' Arrow Storm - The unit's shoulders open to reveal arrays of mounted arrows attached to rockets which then fire at either a single target, or a group in front of them. The rockets drive the arrows in, which then embed as the arrowhead expands.

Death of a Thousand Arrows - The mounted arrows on the legs also fire, forming an arrow storm. (MAP)

Liathella - A echo of the original hero inhabits the mech. Like the original hero, the AI helps it's pilot out by helping it move quickly and aim accurately in all situations. The hero's favored tactic was either to attack from a distance or sneak around and suddendly assualt the enemy unexpectedly.


The Shadow's Blessing looks like a statue of an ancient high priestess - but it's a statue of a woman wearing dark priestly robes with little ornamentation except for a necklace of gold ending in a brilliant green gem. Carries a scythe. It's about 7m tall.

The Shadows of the Dark - Shadows surrond an enemy unit, dancing and instilling fear in the enemy as they fire dark beams while moving in a circle around it (Spirit Lock, probably. Requires Spiritual Power.)

Lightfall - The night suddenly springs up around the field, inhibiting movement of it's target, and causing sensors of everyone around to be less effective. But when the night springs up, it seems that shadowy objects just appear whenever its target wants to move. (Should probably make the terrain Moonlight. Well, if we had a terrain that made it pitch dark, that'd be better, as well as creating Mobility Break on the target. Requires Spiritual Power)

The Storm of Dark and Wind - The unit jabs it's scythe into the ground, creating a massive sigil that calls dark angels down from the heavens. These angels throw black fireballs down below at the enemies on the field as the unit generates a wind of flames that bathes them. When that ends, dark spikes strike them from the ground. (Hissatsu, Spiritual Power req.)

Dark Side of the Moon (System) - The mystical senses of this unit can see all in the area, as well as predict their moves. The pilot of this unit gets the benefit of this. (Something like what Magisteria Blaster has)

Night and Fog - This unit generates a mystical fog that can hide it's allies from those who would seek to destroy it.

The Spirit of the Tigresss looks like a statue of an ancient warrior - but it's the statue of a tigerwoman wearing leather armor with no real ornamentation. She carries two swords, one a longer katana with a green gem set in a blue pommel, the other a smaller wakizashi with red gem set in a green pommel. The unit is 10m tall.

Hikarasurgi [single] - A single strike of the larger blade is aimed at the enemy. Can also be used to block enemy blows.

Hikarasurgi [Flurry] - The unit strikes out with both swords in a flurry of blows at the attacker.

Hikarasurgi [Great Cleave] - The green gem suddenly glows, surrounding the blade in a green glow. Sakurena then brings it down on the enemy, cleaving it into pieces. (Requires Ki Power)

Hikarasurgi [burning Blade] - The green gem glows, surrounding the blade in a green fire. Sakurena then slashes at the enemy, setting it aflame. (Requires Ki Power)

Hikarasurgi [swordwave] - Both gems alight, and the unit charges energy into both, then release both in an arc that sends a shockwave into the units ahead.

Hikarasurgi [sword Blast] - The unit charges a blast of energy through the sword straight at the enemy.

Tiger Rend! - The unit (in a tiger form) rends the enemy in a flurry of blows.

Burning Claw Slash - The claws glow a bright yellow-red and strikes forth, slashing at the enemy.

Stabbing Blow - The unit stabs the enemy with the sword angled at spearpoint, diving into the enemy.

Burning Point of Resolve - The unit slashes at the enemy with glowing strikes and a glowing sword, stabbing at the enemy.

Hikarasurgi [burning Flurry] - Like in Flurry, the swords begin to strike out, but explode with green-blue flames, and grow sufficiently long for the flurry to strike multiple enemies.

Hikarasurgi [Arashiken Final!] - A master combo of blows, this is one of the final moves of the Arashiken school. A complex kata of swordblows, they strike rapidly at multiple targets, in such a pattern that it's difficult to predict how to defend against. As the blows progress, the swords ignite in green-red fire. It ends with the last blows blasting the target with fire. (Requires Ki Power)

Undefeated of the Heavens - The final move of the Arashiken school, the unit glows a brilliant blue, then jumps up high into the sky. The blue nimbus glows, then forms into balls of fire and blue swords of pure energy surronding the nimbus in the sky that strikes down at the enemy, before the unit comes down as a tiger, it's claws glowing fiercely as it rends the enemy unit before kicking it clear.

(Requires Ki Power, Hisstatsu. Should probably require Meikyo Shisui or Super Mode.)

Lethal Grace of Nature - The unit can transform into a tiger form. During this, it's much more agile. However, any blows that require the sword slashes do not work (as the larger sword embeds itself as a spear point.) [Only Tiger Rend!, Burning Claw Slash, Stabbing Blow, Burning Point of Resolve, Undefeated of the Heavens should be enabled]

Form of a Brave (Ki Power) - This unit requires Ki Power.

Sakurena - An echo of the hero lives on in the unit. The unit helps the pilot to hit hard and accurately. This hero's favorite strategy was to jump in and attack straight forwards or to aid a fellow hero.

The Way of the Sword and Will (System) - "By knowing things that exist, you can know that which does not exist.". This system feeds data about the surroundings and various elements to the pilot, enabling superhuman performance when active. It also contains the ability to warp reality to aid the pilot in evading blows. (Something more like the Lambda Driver.)

Water's Resillance (Armor) - Like Water, one must be resilient to survive. One who has attained mastery over themselves and the Way gains a natural resilience. (Some Damage Reduction)


The The Black Fox looks like a statue of an ancient woman - but it's the statue of a human looking kitsune wearing leather armor with no real ornamentation. She carries a staff. The statue is black and the face seems to have a mischievous smile. The unit is 9m tall.

Pilot: Shiroko Kashrina

Attacks:

The Staff of the Gods – The staff glows, and Shiroko strikes out at the enemy with it. As she strikes, a lighting strike hits the enemy as well/

Will O' The Wisp – Blue balls of fire form throughout the battlefield and home into the enemy, repeatedly (Requires Spiritual Power)

St. Elmo' Spear – Electrical fire forms around the enemy, then lances into the enemy, damaging it. (Requires Spiritual Power)

A Wind of Flames – Flames pick up from around the enemy, and then blaze around as a wind forms, dancing through and burning the enemy lines. (Requires Spiritual Power)

Earth's Reaching Grasp – This unit calls on the kami of the earth and air to impede their enemies. (Mobility Break)

Light Within the Darkness - The night springs up around the area, and lights form at random areas, illuminating what looks like the unit and its friends. However, they cause the enemy to be confused as well as explode, causing damage to the unit. (Spiritual Power, probably also inflict Accuracy Break.)

The Wind of Justice Angered – This unit invokes the god of justice, who creates a great wind with embers that explode into fireballs on contact. This wind then strikes the enemy, pushing them back and away from the unit. (Requires Spiritual Power)

Combo Attack:

Knowledge of the Paths of Life – This unit can keep track of what’s going on by knowledge of where life is via mystical senses. It can send data to nearby allies. (Something like Surveyor's Sight)

Shiroko - An echo of the hero lives on in the unit. The unit helps the pilot to hit accurately and stay out of range. This hero's favorite strategy was to help from the back.

Trickster Spirit – To be a trickster, you must know what is going on about you. This unit feeds the pilot situational data and data from allies to tell them what’s going on. It also helps the pilot evade attack by disappearing and appearing from enemy sensors.

Faction: Twilight Shards of Memory: Assorted Memories (People's Kingdom of Kerian) [Evil]

Piloted by People's King Farion Lighthope, this was the mecha that started creating this one kingdom out of all the kingdoms, ruled by a strict authoritarian fist. His goal was to prevent what happened to him from happening to everyone else - that no one would lose their family. However, in his quest to create a new world, he fell into the same trap that many had before him. He soon became a tyrannical despot, and only with the heroes united did he fall, as Peacemaker was feared far and wide for it's power.

Attacks

  • Sword of Peace - A large broadsword, the unit could cleave other units, as well as buildings.
  • FIST Missile Launchers - Mounted in the fist, the Peacemaker was capable of artificially creating missiles and blasting out of it's knuckles at enemy opponents.
  • Lightmaker Cannons - Cannons would be mounted over the shoulder, then fired at the same target, sending two mystical rounds and exploding it's target. Once used to destroy a cliff that Magisteria Blaster was sniping from.
  • Pacification Flamethrowers - Also mounted in the metal fist, the Peacemaker was capable of blasting it's enemies with intensely hot mystical fire.
  • Silence Making Kick - The Peacemaker would jump up high, then perform a drop kick on a target, severely damaging it as well as knocking it back and away.
  • Peacemaker Guns- The Peacemaker carried two mecha sized guns that would pop out and it would unleash a devastating stream of glowing bullets that pierced the enemy and exploded.
  • Protector's Wrath - The Peacemaker, styllized like a Knight, would glow a brilliant blue, then dash at it's target, a fist made and glowing a brilliant blue, before it'd punch the opponent, causing it to go flying before exploding high up in the sky. At that point, lightening strikes it, from both the heavens and Peacemaker. (Spiritual Power)
  • Justice for the Fallen! - The Peacemaker's armor splits out to reveal blade arms, and it furiously punches and slashes at the enemy, electricity lancing out on each strike.
    (Spiritual Power)
  • None Shall Escape Justice - The Peacemaker's hands fade out to reveal energy cannons within the arms. They aim at a distant enemy, then fire a huge torrent of magical energy that devastates any in it's path. (Spiritual Power)
  • Rage of a Father - (Hissatsu) The Peacemaker glows a dark blood red, matching the pilot's rage, and then focuses the red into a ball of energy, which it throws at enemies. It then appears, drawing it's sword, which splits into two swords, and dances around the enemies in a mad fury, slashing them and then jumps up, blasting everything below it in a huge black-red ball of fury. (Spiritual Power)

  • Form of a Tarnished Hero: Requires Spiritual Power.
  • Will of the Fallen : The Peacemaker draws energy from those who have fallen as well as those who live now. This energy gives the Peacemaker a near infinite supply of energy. It is also used to keep it repaired, and ensures that the Peacemaker shall not fall in it's task (HP/EN Regen)
  • Knowledge of the Path of Life and Death - Like the Black Fox, this unit has a knowledge of the paths of life and death, letting it know where everything on the battlefield is located at all times (Something like Surveryor's Sight)
  • To Keep The Door Closed - Part of the core functionality of the Peacemaker, it contains a powerful system that relays data constantly to the pilot as well as provides complete sensor coverage of not only the surroundings, but the enemy, allowing it to unerringly find it's way to the enemy, and hit the weak spots for massive damage. In addition, when active, the system protects the Peacemaker by generating a very powerful mystical barrier that will stop or deflect blows.
  • Armor of Justice - The Peacemaker has a very strong and resilient armor, allowing it to shrug off attacks and keep going.
  • Lead from the Front - The Peacemaker relays data to it's allies, allowing them to stay alive in battle and hit harder.
  • In Darkest Night, In Brightest Light - The Peacemaker through the mystical energies generated by it's pilot consistently keeps moving. This energy prevents the armor or barrier from being broken, as well as stop mystical attacks that would sap the spirit of the pilot.
  • Servant of the People (AI) - A side of Karion that constantly drove him on lived within the unit, driving him into further tyrannical excesses. It saw it as a means to protect the majority from harm. It aided him in evading blows and striking them. When the unit was destroyed, Karion was finally freed from it.

"Farion Lighthope used to be a baker before his daughter was killed by forces of the THEN King of Keria. Outraged, he led a popular revolution to take over Keria and put the last regime on trial. There were signs, even then, that his anger was clouding his personal judgement when several of them were convicted on extremly flimsy evidence. Still, the new People's Kingdom of Keria was a much better place - at first.

Then, he began to slide more into madness. A monument to him was constructed, and then converted into a Monumental, a statue with combat capability. Rights, which had been stil available, disappeared, as more and more people began to disappear for increasingly minor infractions. About this time, the People's Kingdom of Keria launched an invasion into the nearby Principality of Delarion. Rather than allowing themselves to be captured, the elves of that area fell back. Only one remained, Liathella, a magister of some note. Revealing a Monumental she had been using, she devastated the Kerian front line and destroyed all of their supplies, granting them more territory without the means to use it a hurry. Then, she too fell back. In the process, she was aided by a strange Eastern Monumental that used martial arts to hold off the Kerian monumentals.

But Keria had also invaded the southern Dark Forest. A long mysterious place, with villages being driven out by mysterious forces and bandits disappearing to be never seen again, Lighthope saw it as a dangerous risky place, and ordered it's 'orderification'. Shiroko, the resident spirit, tried to hold them off but found herself unable to match Lighthope's personal Monumental and if it wasn't for the fortunate appearence of Fairioni, would have found herself overwhelmed. The two fell back.

Word reached them that the Mountainhold of Grimbolt, a dwarven stronghold where refugees were assembling was next, and they set out to stop Keria at the narrow pass into the area. It was a long struggle, but they destroyed Peacemaker and many Kerian Monumentals, allowing the Dwarvish and Elvish Monumentals to push the Kerian forces back to their pre war boundaries.

But the damage had been done. The Dark Forests had been razed to the ground for miles, and the Elvish cities had been looted and demolished. Keria, too, had lost many people and the resulting armies had razed many Kerian villages and cities for a good band inland. One man's vision of a just and secure kingdom had degenerated into a nightmare that claimed thousands of lives.

3) Where (Were they built? Were they found? I guess I have some place names to work with but that's about it...)

4) When (Are some later generation than others? Are some horribly old artifacts of ancient races?)

5) Why (Were they used aside from the usual escalation of force? Were there mass production models?)

Generally speaking, Monumentals are pilotable by anyone with sufficient spirit or magic. They can be made by multiple sources, but require a massive investement in magical power so it's quite common to see people convert or purpose build a statue and then have artisans add weaponry and defenses. Monumentals are generally an expression of magical power or religious devotion.

2) What (The hell are they? What do they run on?)

Magical power. They're giant magical statues.

3) Where (Were they built? Were they found? I guess I have some place names to work with but that's about it...)

A few were found (although I don't really get into this on this eries) but they are generally built by a mage and a workshop over years. Shadow's Blessing is an exemption, made by a divine being and sent to a servant to do its will. Spirit of the Tigress was .. something. I want to say it was shaped by magic and spirits, so more shaman built.

4) When (Are some later generation than others? Are some horribly old artifacts of ancient races?)

Magisteria Blaster and Spirit of the Tigress are newer generation, the other two are older generation. They were simply made earlier by older mages.

5) Why (Were they used aside from the usual escalation of force? Were there mass production models?)

At first they were created to be an ultimate weapon. By this time, there are some mass production models which are more smaller and require less power (and consquently less effective) but are still much better than an average solider.

ARX-8A Tsurugi

A variant design by Mithril was thought of shortly after the battle in Hong Kong to deal with more melee range combatants. This was then carried out by a cell operating in the Atlantic Ocean to suit one of their aces. While building most of it was within their design, the acquisition of a Lambda Driver was not.

However, they managed to acquire one and installed it into the Tsurugi. It would later see service in a string of related operations.

Weapons

Generally speaking, this machine was designed to get into close range with it's enemies. However, there were clearly times this would not be possible. However, the cannon was not removed in order to retain some capablity of long range operations

  • Wire Launcher - The same as Laevatein.
  • 12.7mm Gatling Gun - The same as Laevatein.
  • Melee - Same as Laevatein
  • M1108 Anti-Tank Dagger - Same as Laevatein
  • M1108 Anti-Tank Dagger [Thrown] - Same as Laevatein
  • GRAW-4 Monomolecular Cutter - Same as Laevatein
  • Lambda Driver Attack - Same as Laevatein
  • M1097 Anti-AS Grenade - Removed
  • Boxer2 76mm Smoothbore Cannon - Same as Laevatein
  • 165mm Multi-Purpose Demolition Gun - Removed
  • Pilebunker - Stabs at an enemy, driving a spike of metal into it, followed by a piston driving it in deeper
  • Anti-Mecha Sword - With two total swords, the unit just draws one and uses it to slash at the enemy
  • Reenforced Anti-Mecha Pole Axe - A long pole with a thin sharp axe at the end, used to pierce armor and attack the enemy mecha.
  • Dual Blade Rondo - The unit draws both it's swords and slashes at the enemy in an intricate flurry of blows.
  • Brilliant Blade Rondo - The swords glow a brilliant color, shifting through blue and purple before the unit draws them and slashes at an enemy in front of it in an almost frenzy of blows. (Should require Lambda Driver)
  • High Speed Blade Attack - The Tsurugi draws it's blades, encasing them in that strange light.. before moving at high speed through the battlefield, pushing boosters to max. During this time, it rapidly slices through enemy mechs. (Should require Lambda Driver)
  • All Out Melee Assualt - The Tsurugi attacks with both the sword and spear out, targettng one enemy, attacking with the pike and then moving in for the kill.

  • Like the Laevatein, it is an Arm Slave
  • This unit has Self-Destruct
  • Like the Laevatein, it has the Lambda Driver
  • 'Nakashiro' - Built like Al, it was named after the training sergant of melee combat.
  • Stealth - Taken from the design of the older M6, the functionalities and hull materials were added in to enable ECS.
