In a remote area of Dremar, a small squad of Z Braver mercenaries were escorting what looked like a scientific machine as it went around and surveyed the terrain. This wouldn't appear to be an unusual scene, except for the fact that there were also massive particle cannon blasts striking at regular intervals, progressively closer to them. This is the scene that greeted the Chevalet Blanc patrol as they came upon the area the strange readings came from, and prepared to engage the enemy.
